Please help I said I'd post tomorrow morning! They have their original box but is it ok to wrap it in a few bin bags, stick postage labels on and wave it goodbye? will it get damaged like this? as in does it need to have some kind of padding or does the shoe box need to be inside another box?

retailers send shoe boxes through the post just in plastic postal wrappers (I always open those carefully & save them for sending future parcels)

if you have any bubble wrap you could put a layer of that round but otherwise a sturdy binliner should be fine Smile

actually, before you decide to go to the PO, have you got a Collect plus point anywhere near you?

\link{http://www.collectplus.co.uk/\they do door-to-door for £3.99}

you can pay online & then just drop off with pre-paid label stuck on. if your shoe box is big/heavy it'll be way cheaper than the PO (I had to send DS2 a pair of pumps (size 10) he'd accidentally left at home - no box - it cost about £4.50 at the PO)
