Im a stay at home mom and I also dont have a drivers license either. I want to separate but I'm scared cuz I know out of hate he would leave and not support his kids he probably move back to texas. Im 27 with three kids no income no car no career. I dont know what to do.

Sorry to hear what a tough time you're having. I'm assuming from your post that you are in the USA? I don't know what kind of welfare is available to you but you should find that out first. In the UK we have a service called Citizens Advice who can talk you through all of the practical stuff like that. Do you have a similar organisation you can try as a first port of call? Just begin with gathering information.

I'm in a similar situation to you here in the UK and when I looked into what I might be entitled to claim I found it quite reassuring. I'm a stay at home mum too, but I know that at the very least I will be able to feed, clothe and house my children on the benefits/ welfare I can claim when I leave my husband. (Which I am doing in 2 weeks time)

From that point I will be able to think more clearly about my future plans for work etc, but for now, focusing on the break up is quite enough, plus being there for my children while they go through a big change too.

Good luck Thanks

Many people start in your situation and find happiness at that scary decision. I'm not trying to minimise your very real worries but you can find a way Smile

Can you get your drivers license. Say you need to drive in the future to take the DCs to football training or something. Work out what you have to do to get it, will friends or family babysit?
