No new applications from April unless you're a domestic violence victim. So either no advice or you pay for it.
Existing cases will continue to be funded, but if you need to move from Legal Help to a certificate then you're out of luck.

Legal help is the form you sign when you first see the solicitor, which covers basic paperwork incl getting a divorce. For going to court over money, children or injunction you need a legal aid certificate.

Hi - lurking on this thread and interested in understanding more - Collaborate does this mean that there will be no legal aid for custody or child access after April other than if you already have a legal aid certificate?

That's right, unless you're a DV victim.

How long does legal aid last? My partner went to solicitors for child access in october the solicitor sent the mediation letter out but his x came to an agreement before thy attended mediation however shes gone back on it now. Will the legal aid he had before still be active and how long for? Thanks

It depends if his solicitor put in a final bill to the LSC. Assuming here he had a legal aid certificate and not just legal help.
