Divorce/separation

H asking for details of my income?

Starting divorce, have agreed everything pre- going to solicitor, my solicitor is drawing up agreement then going to send it to h.

H is now saying that he has been to see a solicitor and is wanting details of my salary, tax credits etc.

Up until this point there has been no argument over money, so am a little twitchy. Does he really need this?

Any solicitor is probably going to ask for that information & if you go to court you have to complete form E giving full disclosure. Do you earn considerably more than him?

No I earn about 1/5 of what he earns. Strangely my solicitor didn't ask for his details, financial stuff has been agreed so hopefully won't be going to court.

Just loathed to hand any information over to him, guess I can send it straight to his solicitor?

If the finances have been agreed & he hasn't given your solicitor financial info why does he need yours? I had assumed he had given his too!

Won't get signed off in court without those details - his solicitor is correct, a full & frank disclosure of assets etc is required.

Agree with RedHelen, there has to be full financial disclosure before you can even start to think about financial settlement. Any Consent Order lodged at the Court without that information will be rejected by the District Judge

Of course. And you mus have the full details of his. Your solicitor is rubbish if he/she hasn't told you that.
