and the docs are saying they wont back up our form to more to a more suitable home, as the govt wont like it if all VAD patients had to move to bigger places (errrrrr??? wtf??). I have told peter to tell the docs, that if it doesnt work having him home then i will send him right back to the hospital. one care service has already refused to take care of peter as its a medical problem and they deal with social situations, so am still waiting.

he has VRE somewhere in his system. it isnt causing a problem right now but he will need weekly swabbing, and monitoring. he says it very uncomfortable when they swab the VAD site as they have to dig right in (ouch). when they applied for funding it was for him to be home sometime in the next week or so. not looking likely. They still need the funding and to get a care package sorted, the carers trained and for us to meet them.

Emphasis: To bold a word, surround it with asterisks, so *hello* will display hello. For underline use _ , so _hello_ gives hello. For italics use ^, so ^hello^ gives hello. To strike out a word, surround it with two hyphens either side, so --dog-- gives dog

Links and smileys: To insert a smiley face, , type [smile] or :)
For a big grin, , type [grin] or :o

Links The simplest way to insert a link is to enter the link itself, surrounded by [[ and ]]. So if you type [[www.mumsnet.com]], the link will display as http://www.mumsnet.com. If you want your link to display text other than the web address itself, leave a space after the address then add the text before the ]]. So "Look at [[www.mumsnet.com this page]]", would display "Look at this page".
