I suspect that only women recognise the tart look

And only women think it is bad

Ruby, by a stange set of circumstances dh and I ended up in a gay bar/resturant in Washington DC. Within 1 minute of sitting down, I had sussed thi. Dh was totaly oblivious!

Some men are just slow on the uptake!!

My dh does, but not in a contemptuous way, more embarassed and a bit repelled - if he accidentally sees Jordan or some such creature while channel-hopping for example. He's not keen on obvious porny-looking women IYSWIM.

Also he worries about inappropriately attired young girls, especially in winter

I reckon martian is nearest the mark.

Men know what a tart is alright.

They'd bed one then call her a 'slag' afterwards. They're really base men are.

No. They just ogle, they don't really think anything

Ditto UD....and it's not just what she wears, it's how she wears it,yes?

Do men ever say "He looks like a tart"? yes. My best buddies signature line. He was very gay, but not at all fey...

My dh hardly ever comments on other women but he does have a very sharp tongue when he does.

Few weeks ago my sister was coming with her brood, we wondered whether we should take them just up the road to the golf club that does cheap lunches but a bit posh, or to the Toby in town. I decide on the golf club as it was much much nearer.

She turns up and dh goes out to tell them our plans. He comes back in and says; "change of plans, we're going to the Toby"
"why?" says I.
"Cause I've just seen your sister's arse hanging out of her jeans"

'Nuff said!

Yes, I might comment like that, rhubarb. Or something like "good god, she shouldn't have her arse hanging out if she's that fat."

But a lissom thing in a tight skirt, fishnets and high glossy boots would only have my tongue hanging out. What can I say? We're shallow. We were given a brain and a dick, but only enough blood to run one at a time. Etc.

If they are very young it does trouble me. i saw a bunch of teenagers on the bus the other day, coming from quite a "nice" part of town, all dolled up and ready to go clubbing, and it made me worried about them in a fatherly and protective way. Ten years ago I would probably have been there going "phwoargh, jailbait." In my head, of course.

If my daughter ever dresses like that I'll send her straight back upstairs to put sonme clothes on and wipe that warpaint off. Etc.

Bull, bull, bull! My god, we don't have to leave it up to the women on here to slag us off, us blokes help out with putting the boot in!

Women with super short skirts and thigh boots look cheap and slapperish.

Eminently shaggable, but still slapperish.

And ug/ugg/ugh boots look bloomin' daft.
