Anyone got a garden office?

I've been thinking for some time about investing in a garden office as we have a large garden and it would be nice to have somewhere to work and also to double-up as a kind of den for us / kids in the summer. Anybody else have one and can give any pointers etc.?

We looked into them here when last in the housing market to see if it would save money vs paying for an extra bedroom.
Ended up with a big cheap (ugly) house though, so never took it any further though.

You need to consider insulation/heating and electrics if you want them year round

Yes, I'm thinking about one with full electrics which will be supplied by an armoured cable from the fuse box in the house...

DH is in the process of deciding between this company or this company . I prefer the first ones - they do it all for you, including power and heating. So they should at the prices, though.

The first ones are lovely - but expensive

Have you looked arround a lot?

Katymac and milge - thanks both. I've come across HenleyOffices before, but not the other two.

There is something tool-stiffeningly hard about the words "armoured cable", isn't there?

Been reading too much of G.W.A.O.T.M, Unquiet?

Does she use armoured cable? She's dirtier than I thought.
