Do you admit to your mates that you pop into mumsnet on occasion?

Or are you worried that you might get ridiculed?

Personally, I tell noone other than DW who would find a wet kipper in her shoe if she chose to tell anyone else.

Yep. Don't care who knows I use MN. Though I had to NC after somebody I know started posting quips I'd made on here to her Facebook profile. Never mind, this NN is funnier.

Overheard very manly DP say to his just as manly friend...

'dunno mate, try asking mumsnet.'

I had to giggle....none of us even have children.

I've started something.

2 replies already! That's pretty good for round here isn't it?

I suppose my OP was a little tongue in cheek, but only a little.

I can imagine letting it spill after a manly meet with my mates, and then there being an awkward silence until someone quietly mentions 'Actually, I have favourited it as well.', and then one by one all would fess up.

I have far more embarrassing things I do to be kept secret!....some of my mates do know.

I have an excuse ready though for when asked 'why'....."my counselor told me!?"

Nice one PP

I wonder what a counselor would tell me? Probably not much more than "That will be another £40, thank you Mr Complex"

I would like to be told to go out and buy more Scaletrix and Lego.

I'm totally hooked! I don't have children myself, only came on it to find inspiration for Xmas dinner....then da da daaaaaa. I discovered the "am I being unreasonable" threads. WOW!

Can't keep away!

I wrote a post on F.book about it, and a bloke liked my post, not a lady...Smile

Oh I started a thread in AIBU under a previous NN and had my arse handed to me by some and got defended by others. 'Twas thrilling. The only thread I've ever started that filled up to the maximum 1000 posts. I posted exactly the same OP in Feminism and got 30 replies...

Welcome Crushed, we at DN are not judgey. :)

Only DW and one of my close mates know. the mate I told wouldn't have known what it was unless I told him. I've pointed a couple of my female mates to MN. It was the frst they heard of it.
