I would like to know what your other half does to make you feel extra happy

Dh has had a hard time recently and I want to make him more happier if that sounds possible.

But of background.
Not seen him for 11months due to visa struggle.
Unable to be with him due to ill ds.

He's had a bad time here in the past and he needs a bit of reassurance. I want him to feel extra loved.

Any ideas??
Thanks

I am not a guy but I can tell you that you can't make anyone feel happy. He has to do that himeself.

Some people are natural optimists and think "Oh well....look on the bright side!" whilst other just can't.

Is he in the UK now? Or trying to get here?

Well if he's getting there finally then he should be bloody happy to be with you and DS!

Don't put up with moaning. My DH is mister cup half empty and I used to try and cheer him up all the time....now I have none of it. Bringing others down isn't on.

Hopefully seeing you and DS after 11 months will cheer him up.

Otherwise, stock up on foods he likes, maybe a few magazines he likes (my DH gets ridiculously excited about Scientific American), a few bits of clothes, his favourite sweets/beer?

If its just a cheering up, these things usually work on my DH.

I've stocked up on a few sweets, condoms and a few candles. He's bringing the DVDs.
So hopefully shouldn't be too hard.

Just give him lots of cuddles, make him comfy. If you know his favourite drink (beer, wine etc ) get some in if he drinks - this will make him really happy, shows you care enough to get what he wants. Same with foods - be specific. Remember, a lot of us guys like treats like steak, burgers etc.

He's not been too down today. Which is a plus. I was reminding hm that he's coming here to us so no need to be too upset about what's happening back home.
Hmmm he doesn't drink lol. Tea is his fav which I will keep on top of lol.
I was just wondering if there's anything specific. He's into his massages too. Will need a bit of baby oil.
Anything your oh do to cheer you up?
Thanks again
