Hi all

I just wondered if anyone knows any good companies to do online surveys/research with? I have only heard of pinecone but I think they are invitation only.

thanks in advance

No, they steal your passwords and sell them so your email account gets hacked and you don't get paid. Then you get a never ending stream of spam.

I use OnePoll and Vivatic.

OnePoll are good, you gets lots of short surveys, aroun 10-15pence for each one. They pay out when you reach £40 which can take a while but I do the surveys when I'm waiting for DD to go to sleep so I just think of it as a nice bonus.

Vivatic surveys tend to be longer and therefore higher paying, but I get screened out of a lot of them, so again reaching the payout amount, £50 I think, takes a while.

Worth it for a few mints of your time each day and a nice treat for yourself when the payout comes IMO.

I can't do a clicky link as I'm on my phone but there are reviews of the best sites here: www.moneysavingexpert.com/family/make-money-surveys
I use a couple and actually find it quite fun!

I like My Survey and normally get around £16 a month from it.

I do Valued Opinions and Toluna.

I think you need to commit to checking in daily for an hour or so for it to really build up. I'm quite new to it, but have a friend who does those 2 and My Surveys and between the three covers Christmas and birthdays for her family.

Valued Opinions have had a bad patch recently, loads of surveys that take data and then screen you out. They say 'we don't use any of the data' but even if that is true it is still a time waster.

If you email them to complain you get an automated reply. Send a rude response to this and they will give you a bit of cash. Matters do seem to have improved in the last few days, and I've had about £150 from them. Over two years. Smile. Always cash out as soon as you reach the threshold.

Onepoll are better in that their 10p/20p surveys only take a minute or two and if you are screened out, it is in the first question or two. I've had one lot of £40, am waiting for the second to pay and am £10 towards the third. You don't get alerts, you need to keep checking the site.

Yougov never screen out but there is only a survey every fortnight or so. Hence after 2.5 years still haven't reached £50. Don't do the 'prize draw' ones, waste of time.

Viewsbank cash out at £6, very few surveys. I did have one £30 assignment that took a couple of hours so that was ok.

Rewarded Opinions only do a survey a month, but pre-fill in a lot for you.

in short - it does generate some cash but don't get excited!
