As the title reads how much do you spend on your hair and how often do you have it coloured/cut etc?

well I got mine cut and coloured at the weekend - cost £85. I only get it done every 4 months or so though so try to convince myself its a reasonable expense...

I live in London and I pay £20 for a cut, £45 for cut and colour - I get it cut every four to six weeks and coloured every third time. As I have short hair I'd rather pay a bit less and go more frequently.

I colour mine at home every 8 weeks or so. I have very thick long hair so need 2 pack of dye to cover it all. I usually buy it when its on offer whether it needs colouring or not, but just keep the package until needed.

I get it cut about every 8 or 9 months or so and never spend any more than £25 a time on it.

I do spend a bit on conditioner and hair repair treatments etc.

I really like my hair ATM.

I pay £46 for a cut and blow- I don't get a colour as I'm blessed with shiny locks. I love my hairdresser but when he leaves for the Big City and the good ones always do, I will try somewhere different as the others aren't worth £46!

At the moment, nothing. Sad Apart from cheap (Alberto or own brand) conditioner and H&S because DH and I both use it. I've always been rubbish at getting it cut regularly, and used to go twice a year max. The last time I went for just a cut, it cost around £50, and a cut and half-head highlights are just under £100! Shock I can't justify it at the moment. Just gave myself a quick conditioning trim and it looks fine luckily I can't see the back of my head and let's just pretend the grey streaks are highlights, shall we?

I get it cut about every 6 weeks for £15
Colour it myself about every 8 weeks for about £4
So about 8 cuts a year costs £120 and 6 colours costs £24
So £144 a year so £12 a month.

I use the local Tech college which is about a fiver for a cut. Can't honestly remember when it was last done. It looks dreadful ATM though.

I just spent 4 years dying my own hair a shitey brown (brassy and horrible no matter what I tried) and doing the mumsnet haircut. I looked like a bad turd on a stick.

Then last August I went back to hairdressers and went blonde highlights (used to have that 8 years ago) - I went again in November and I'm going again at the end of the month - it looks sooooooooo much better there's no way I'm going back to crappy hairdo now.

So it will be £135 every 3 months for highlights and haircut - so £45 a month.

I spend £10 a week on a shampoo and set (at my friend salon) and £30 on a cut every few weeks

I would have it done twice a week if I had the time

I have short hair so irritatingly, that means more money than long hair as you have to keep in cut regularly to maintain its shape / style (she says, frantically justifying herself!).
So........... £40 every five weeks, then each third month, an extra £30 on top for colour.
Sigh...

I go every 5 weeks for a cut and alternate between roots touch-up (£30) or base colour and foiled highlights (£40).

It's an out of town salon though which explains slightly lower prices.

£40 for full head of highlights, and £20 for a cut, however this is with the salon's NVQ 3 trainee. Would be a LOT more with someone fully qualified.

£70 for two colours in foils, feel I can't go anywhere else in case they botch it up. Try and stretch it to 2.5 months a visit. I have sholulder length hair.

Feel it is too much really for my hair but feel I have no choice.

Cut, colour and flashes £90 every 3 months and cut/root touch up in between every 5 weeks £65 (yikes, I know). Not exactly a high earner myself but don't smoke, drink very moderately and limit the amount I spend on clothes. Love having my hair done - I actually feel like I have had a face lift Grin

I have a mobile hairdresser come to the house. She charges £30 for a cut and colour and I have it done every 5 or 6 weeks.

£0.00 Grin

My new years resolution was to see if I could go one year without hair colour. After 7 months I was getting people ask if I had coloured it as the condition had improved.

I also decided to try and cut my own hair too a few months ago, before that I paid £7.50 at the barbers.

As long as I have my GHDs I am happy, and my hair looks fine.
