I love Marc Jacobs Daisy, but can't afford it !! Sad but went shopping to M and S yesterday and bought a M and S perfume called "butterfly" that smells exactly the same and lasts as well !! £3 for a small handbag sized bottle. Just thought I'd share it in case someone else likes it as well Smile

Another suggestion- Ebay has some great Marc Jacobs brand new still sealed perfume products.

After Xmas there will be even more.

I bought a MJ tub of 'Daisy' body cream (large tub) for £7 and bottle of Lola for £11 a couple of months ago.

Last month i bid on a load of MAC make up products, all sealed, all immaculate and got £22 mascara's for £7, eyeshadows for £4 instead of £11-18.

Ed Hardy, a scent range liked by teenagers is massively cheaper.

I've never had a dodgy transaction.

Most of M&S perfumes are 'inspired by' famous names I'm told.

This is like Chanel allure. Very good if you are having to downgrade luxury items (like most of us are)

Anyone else come across cheaper items that are as good as the high end names?

In that perfume book that evaluates hundreds of perfumes by Luca Turin and Tania Sanchez- 'Perfumes, the A-Z Guide' I recall them raving about the original Juicy Couture perfume called 'Juicy Couture', giving it 4 stars.

It has a tuberose base and is relatively inexpensive.

I used to love Jovan's 'Musk'. I used to mix it with other scents and always got compliments and requests for its name.

Debenhams currently selling a lovely green/citrussy Christian Lacroix perfume reduced to £11. Its called 'C'est La Fete'.

Thanks for starting this thread. Now the proud owner of "Daisy" and "Light Blue" dupes. I couldn't afford to spend on the genuine articles.

wools, is the Daisy one really the same?

wools Do you mean D&G 'Light Blue'? If so, who does the rip-off version please? Am about to run out of my (birthday present) bottle and can't afford to replace it.

OP, thanks for the tip about M&S - I really wanted Daisy but couldn't afford it so am very happy I can have a version :)

Thanks for the tip about Sensuale, I love Chanel Allure but can't justify the cost to myself.

Missinga - tried M&S Butterfly (Daisy dupe) in the shop but I've not actually worn it for the day yet - looks good though.
RoseC - the dupe for D&G Light Blue is M&S Azure Breeze - have worn this all day and a very good likeness but I would say it's probably not as long lasting as the original - but at that price you can afford to be liberal with it and spray more often.

Thank you :) I foresee an M&S shopping trip in my near future...

I agree wools - the Sensuale (Allure dupe) isn't as long lasting. But they do handbag sized versions for a fiver (:o) so not a problem.

Brilliant - thanks - will try ! Daisy is my favourite but am having to eke out a bottle on very special occasions only. Feel naked without perfume but just can't afford to wear it every day.

Lovely, thanks for the tip.
Any dead ringers for Chanel Chance out there at all?

I bought some of this at the weekend and while it's pleasant enough, I have to say that on my skin I don't think it smelt that much like Daisy so won't buy it again. However ... what I did also buy was something called Isis, and on me, it smelt exactly like Issey Miyake for a fraction of the price - can't believe how similar it is and am very chuffed to have found it as will save a fortune.
