Pitch event

I've been accepted to go to a pitch your novel event on 5th April!

I queried the agency who are running it in the autumn and had a long chat with one of their agents who ultimately said I write well but the novel wasn't a big enough concept for my debut.

Now I've almost finished my second (hopefully high concept) novel and the agent who I chatted to is going to hear my pitch.

I'm assuming this is Greene & Heaton?

I would imagine it's run the same as other similar events - 10 minute slot, and you submit your work in advance. You need to be giving a clear idea of where the novel is going, where you see it in terms of the market, why you are interested in that agent, the genre, why you think it will appeal to readers of x or y author/genre etc

I would expect the agent to give you some feedback on your submission, in terms of quality, marketability etc.
