Writers' forums

BsshBossh just suggested I start a shiny new thread (that I hope won't sit here all lonely with just this first post on it! ) about writers' forums.

I have just joined Authonomy, which is run by Harper Collins. Does anyone know what the low-down is on being a member of a community that is run by publishers, not writers?

And Bssh suggested Absolute Write, which I'm just checking out now, and Writers' Digest.

Anyone else know of any others, or have any experience of the one's I've linked to?

Ok, just seen one of the points to note would be that Absolute Write is a US-run site, which I guess may make a difference if you want to use the site to get critiques of your work...?
