Recipe of the week

penguinmum's creamy fish pie: smoky, seasonal fish in a creamy white sauce with grated, rather than mashed, tatties on top - a meal of the highest comfort-food order.

So here I am, day 15. Think I OVed Mondayish. I've decided I have a long luteal phase.

My boobs look bigger. This could be due to the amount of chocolate I've eaten in the last week. MrM says my areola look bigger. Also been bloated all day. Probably the pizza I ate last night.

Oh I do like to symptom spot crazily!

Hi lifeis

we had the family trip last weekedn but I reeeeeeaaallly wanted to see New Moon as my treat and just wish DH would book things instead of me doing it!

flowery I dont eat mushrooms either. This place is usually good but the chilli thing has really thrown me

My first choice for tonight was Zefferellis in Ambleside - Veggie restaraunt and cinema BUT Ambleside is flooded so doubt that will be happening soon!

Mabh not sure if you know Backbarrow? I had my hen day at the Spa there last month and that is well under water shock

I did really miss being on a bus blush its so much friendlier than in the main MN , noone recognises me out there

Oh boo for you Nymphadora. for now, have some chocolate or ice cream! Go and have a lovely, yummy, it's the weekend and I derserve a treat, nice breakfast out tomorrow morning. I always feel like going out for breakfast is a luxurey and a bit frivolous! Or go out for a great big Sunday lunch on Sunday.

Not the same as a night out without kids but something nice you can do with DH and DCs and still get to have a birthday treat.

Doesn't it suck that places often still only have a couple of veg options, and there's usually something yuky in them (mushrooms are my problem!)
Was just lurking because I saw nymp was on there. *waves at nymph and big hug too*

I just wanted to congratulate kaylo and the other graduates too grin

Just had my birthday night out

Ended with me crying in tesco car park blush

it's the only night for 4 weeks around my birthday that the kids are at their dads. I wanted to see New Moon. Dh said about half 4 hmm you better phone up & book tickets . So I phoned and it wouldn't recognise my voice angry and the website doesn't take bookings.

So we set off early to find it was booked up [surprise] so I said ok we'll go for a meal. Get there get last table(corner by the toilets) and I look at the menu to find only veg options involve goats cheese (gone off cheese when I started with M sickness) and chillies( love them & just found out I'm allergic. So I walked out left DH and sat in the car crying til he caught up.

Don't think my hormones are quite settled yet

We're on same cycle day, same UCL and both TTC #1, I'll join you in that 2ww! I'm not doing anything to find out when I ovulate and don't know so we're aiming for a bit more BD yet!

I think I need a good slap to prevent symptom spotting though. I have purposely tried to stay inocent about what symptoms might be, and knowing when OV etc. to try and keep things relxed for the first few months at least. Not working though! Last couple of days I've had weird dull ache in back/tummy a bit like when AF on the way, but I am NEVER early and not due for couple of weeks yet so of course I think, ooo maybe that's a symptom. I surely couldn't get symptoms after only a few days even if it dos work this month. Like I said, good slap required!

Emphasis: To bold a word, surround it with asterisks, so *hello* will display hello. For underline use _ , so _hello_ gives hello. For italics use ^, so ^hello^ gives hello. To strike out a word, surround it with two hyphens either side, so --dog-- gives dog

Links and smileys: To insert a smiley face, , type [smile] or :)

Links The simplest way to insert a link is to enter the link itself, surrounded by [[ and ]]. So if you type [[www.mumsnet.com]], the link will display as http://www.mumsnet.com. If you want your link to display text other than the web address itself, leave a space after the address then add the text before the ]]. So "Look at [[www.mumsnet.com this page]]", would display "Look at this page".
