Hi!
I am on day 4 of my first round of clomid. Doc said to take on day 2 of af until day 6'so tomorrow my last pill.

My problem is my af has been dreadful this month, is it the clomid making it worse? Sorry for tmi but I'm loosing loads and its been clotted and gross! Sorry ladies but if I can't ask here where can I?!!

Hope someone can reassure me its normal.

I've had slight nausea and upset tum after taking it too.

Help?

Which doc told you this - is this the GP?. I ask this as clomid should ideally be given under a gynae's supervision.

Nausea can be a side effect of taking clomid but do mention all of what has happened to your doc anyway.

If you are not under the care of a gynae you ought to be.

Gonna bump this up, because when I was taking Clomid, I had exactly the same problem. It was horrendous. I had the AF's from hell, and was sent home from work on every occasion that the Clomid didn't work and my periods came.

I bled for 7+ days each time, and there was no let up until I started the next tablet cycle. Up until taking the Clomid, my periods were scant/nonexistent so the bleeding I had was a total shock. The cramps were really intense, and was using tampax and towels together but still leaked through. (sorry if TMI)

I never knew if it was a side effect of the Clomid, but considering it's supposed to create a 'blood rich lining optimal for implantation' I assumed that was what was happening. I did conceive on Clomid eventually, so didn't have to endure anymore horrid AF. I remember actually thinking during the Tww 'I hope I conceive this time as I can't take one more AF like that!!' - A strange thought considering we were trying for 4 years, and was almost on the verge of packing it all in.

Hope it works out for you, and you don't get anymore AF's! I loved Clomid for what it achieved, but the side effects for me were the pits.

Hi, I'm due to take my first tablet of Clomid any day soon.
It sounds like it might be fun.
Good luck to everyone on clomid. It worked for me the first time.
