I'm not sure that I'm qualified to give you any advice as your symptoms could mean a number of things. The spotting could be implantation bleeding. Or it could be a slight disturbence in your cycle, especially if you are coming down with something. I think the only thing you can do is sit it out and wait until your period is due. If no period, then test away and I hope you get a BFP. Sorry, not much help. But have fingers crossed for uyou that your symptoms are the right ones for a pg!

Hi ckc

If you have been ttc for nearly two years without success there is likely to be a problem regarding conception with either one or both of you.

Spotting between periods should be checked out medically to ascertain the cause; it is often not serious but it should be looked into all the same.

You are well beyond using opk's at this stage; they are not all that helpful really. The problem with opk's as well is that they can give multiple positive results; not all surges are automatically followed by ovulation.

I would speak to your GP asap and ask for a referral to a hospital's subfertility unit. Both of you should be tested further, you need a diagnosis of the problem first and foremost.

If you have ever had severe period pains this ought to be investigated further by a gynae as well.

You cannot afford to be fobbed off - insist on a referral.
