Anyone TTC'd straight after stopping the pill rather than waiting a month or 3?

Just after any experience-
we are thinking of TTC #3. I'm on the minipill, though only been on it 3 months. I can't find any published medical reason for not TTC straight after stopping taking the pill (in fact it seems often there is a fertility boost in those first month(s) - for which my DS is evidence! ), except for the fact that it's impossible to know where in your cycle you are and therefore dating could be problematic.

Has anyone else tried to TTC immediately after stopping the pill?

DH hates condoms and would rather not use them at all so he's keen to just get started as soon as I stop the pill....But obviously wanted to check out any health-related reasons for not having a break between pill & TTC...

Thanks.

Hi, not sure of health reasons for not trying straight away but my Dr told me that you are at your most fertile in that first month so i'd get trying if i were you.

I came off the normal pill and fell the next month with our DD (now 17 months)

Good luck x

Yes came off mini pill and conceived soon after (which is what I had hoped for). Wishing you lots of luck.

I did talk to my GP (she is lovely) and she didn't know of a reason to wait.

I also came off the pill (not mini) and conceived in the first month with DS1. Surge of hormones or something.
