Coil expelled, now period is late, but are cycles longer anyway after?

I am not sure if this is a cause for concern yet as I heard that sometimes cycles are longer after a coil comes out (I had a copper coil)

So should I panic yet or is it common for coil removal to affect cycle?

did you have unprotected sex knowing it would be bad if you got pg?

gp will fit one for you again.

I had unprotected sex before it fell out iyswim, so in theory it was there when it happened, then came out a day or so later. Since then have used condoms...

I had copper coil removed and cycles have been regular between 28-31 days. How late are you and have you tested?
Copper coil has no hormones so should not effect your cycle when removed. But everyone is different and your body might just be adjusting.

No I haven't tested yet. Cycles usually range between 23-29 days. Now on day 33 so I suppose it's a bit early.

Your period will probably turn up soon.

I have the copper coil and if it failed to work I would be in a pickle! It would be a struggle to cope but I guess I would manage somehow.

If you are feeling stressed you could test now, just to put your mind at ease.
