Hi All,
I am 27 years old i had a missed miscarriage at 21 and the went on to have twins at 22 after my second cycle of colmid.
Started trying for another baby early april 06, Got pregnant that christmas naturally but went on to have another missed miscarriage in feb07 and then another after 2 lots of colomid in oct07.
Nothing seems to have worked since then! In jan 08 my private doctors realised that when i had had the d & c at my local nhs hospital in oct some baby cells had been left behind and i had to have them removed. We are despriate for another baby but after my 3rd lot of colomid i am still not pregnant. My doctor doent want to up my colomid dose and he has advised ovarian drilling!
Has any one had this done and was it effective?
I hope to hear from some one soon.

Hi there-

I had the ovarian diathermy (Ovarian drilling) at the same time as a hysteroscopy and laparoscopy (lap and dye) because they suspected PCO. I had also had a missed miscarriage and then had no period and no success at conceiving. I eventually was put on clomid for 6 months and when this didn't work (18 months of trying) I had the surgery- ovarian diathermy etc.

The surgery revealed there was nothing wrong and they drilled the ovaries. This all happened at the end of OCtober 07. I got pregnant in Feb 08 and am now 25 weeks. No idea if the surgery helped or whether it had just taken time.

Good luck!

Hi nettynoodle,

I conceived as a direct result of ovarian diathermy.
