TTC#2 - what other tests should I have?

Hi all - I am 35 and have one DS who is 3. We have been TTC#2 for 14 months. I have had all the blood tests which showed no probs (apart from low iron which has now been rectified with tablets). They confirmed I am ovulating and hormone levels are normal.

The GP suspected fibroids but I have had a scan and they have been ruled out. In fact, at the scan, the dr said everything looked in good order! I had a c-section with my son and have been really worried about the effects of this. The dr said it has all healed well and I should rule that out as a concern.

DP doesn't believe there can possibly be a problem with him - after all we have a son (!!!!). He is now going for tests.

Are there any other tests that I should be having? If DP comes back all clear what would the next step be?

Pleeeeeease someone tell me that they just miraculously conceived again after 14 months of TTC#2. I can't help but think there has to be a problem.

Hello Nappyhead, really just keeping this bumped for you as I don't know if there will be any other tests. It's good that your DH is going for tests too - I think about a third of fertility problems are male related, and there could be something, even if you already have a child, couldn't there?

For what it's worth, I think the stats are that 7/10 couples will get pg in the first year, a further 2/10 in the next year, and the last 1/10 couples will need help, so there must be some sucess stories out there!
