Chemical Pregnancy?

Did a FR test on Thursday which was day 27 of a 28 day cycle. I got a faint BFP, but there was definately a line. I also had a lot of symptoms e.g. sore breasts, nausea, passing a lot of urine and cramping etc. Did a test the next morning and it was so faint, I could only see a line if staring at it for ages in bright light of window! I was still hopeful though. That evening I started bleeding and naturally I was gutted. I have done several tests since then and BFNs.

I am still bleeding but not nearly as heavily as AF and I have very little cramping which I usually get with AF). I don't feel as pregnant but I still have very tender boobs. I know this is probably a chemical pregnancy but should I give up hope completely? Has anyone else experienced this?

It is very confusing.

Hi

This happened to me in April and gp said it was an early mc, had symptoms, got really faint pos and then that evening bleeding started, next day got neg result. Used clear blue tests.

The bleeding only lasted 3.5days and was very light unlike my periods. I said to go after that surely it would of been heavy if it was a mc and he said that i prob miscarried not long after conception an dthe faint pos detected some of the hormones left

I also felt shattered for a week after.

You never know you still could be pregnant, I had a period with my first dd, just ligher than normal so only realised when my next period did not come so I was 8 weeks by then.

Good luck!!!!

Wow - well fingers crossed it sticks!

It sounds like my first pregnancy although I didnt even know I was pregnant because I had a period.

Your hormone levels were probably not strong enouhgh yet to stop your periods. Maybe you ovulated later this month?

Can you go and get an early scan in your area to check?

Sounds like its a CONGRATULATIONS TO YOU!!!!

Send me some of your dust, I cant test for four days.

Were you trying, is it your 2nd?

I'm trying for no.3

Wishing you lots of luck and I hope I get to join the March babies 2009 with you.

Ask GP for a blood test. Then you can chart the rise of HPG and you will know for sure. If GP will not then go to the EPU and they will help you out. Lots of baby dust and sprinkles of luck

Thanks guys. I feel so tired because of all the emotions (and hopefully hormones!).

We have a DS aged 2.3, so this hopefully will be number 2. This will be our 5th cycle of trying. Funnily the early weeks of my first pregnancy were a rollercoster too. I bled for the first two weeks after I found out and went for early scan. They found a sac but no baby and because I was sure I was 6 weeks gone, they told us we had probably lost it. Went back for a follow up scan 2 weeks later and there was my son with a heartbeat measuring 6 weeks. I was just 2 weeks behind what I thought I was and obviously was experiencing a heavy implantation bleed.

Keeping my fingers crossed for you as well

Well looks like it maybe happening again.

Good luck with it - I even looked at the Due March 09 thread and had to stop myself saying hello on it. Don't want to tempt fate.

Right now I am so tempted to make dh go and buy an early test but I know they never worked for me before so I have to WAIT!!!

Plus its better to do it in the morning esp if you your testing before your due date.

Take care of yourself x
