I'm soooo fed up. 12 cycles TTC #2 with no luck. I had my day 21 bloods done last week (on day 22), and AF arrived today in full force, with spotting yesterday, giving me a 25 or 26 day cycle.

The progestrogen levels were 28.9, "inconclusive", and I have to get the test repeated on day 21 of this cycle.

Does anyone out there know how likely ovulation was with this result? Could my short cycles be a problem with timing the test?

A level of 30 or over would normally indicate ovulation but the measurement of such things can vary widely in how its interpreted.

Progesterone measurement is only part of it, your LH and FSH levels should be tested earlier in the cycle (day 3) and compared against one another.

Have you as yet been referred onto a gynae at a subfertility unit?. If not, you should be referred sooner rather than later.

BTW has your man been tested to date to see if there are any male factor problems?. He should be tested as well as your good self.

thanks Atilla, I'm going to ask about day 3 tests next time. We've only just started on this testing lark, so nothing for DH yet, but my GP is very sympathetic, so I'm hoping she'll be OK with referring us on.
