My evil body!

Just when I'd accepted that this month was again not the one (wailing emoticon)!

I know from charting that I ovulated somewhere around day 17 or 18 (usually a 31 day cycle, but we only did the deed on day 14. In my heart of hearts I know that I'm not pregnant, but after thinking that my temp. was starting to drop as it usually does in the run up to Af, it's gone up again, only a little but enough to make me hope.

My body is evil and it's not fair. Please say harsh things to stop me wasting money (again ) on a pointless test!

Nina - your body is not the problem - your brain might be. If you sincerely believe that you have problems, your body will follow your lead and make sure you do have problems.

Have you considered a hypnoconception CD - I got pregnant with DD after using one for one month - I was lead to be believe by docs I couldn't conceive and was just despairing.

Once I sorted my head out though, my body followed, and once your confidence is up....well I'm pregnant again with number 2.

Oh and buy bulk tests of ebay - they all work the same, no point in buying the posh ones.

Also temp testing is shite and don't actually work for everyone.

If you do get your period - hey you start again next month, it really doesn't matter because this is only step one on a very long road and whether you conceive this month or next you will get there and have your baby eventually.

Nina I so understand this feeling, I was so down on Saturday when my period arrived that I felt like a huge huge failure. Which I know is totally unhelpful!

WMMC I'm intrigued by the hypnoconception CD, it's the first I've heard of it and I'd love to try something to help with my frame of mind rather than my body. And good tip about the Ebay tests. Again, I may have to look into that. I've been just trying not to test too much but still have spent far too much in Boots (or rather the pregnancytestemporium as I'm starting to think of it!).

ChilledMama I've lurked like a good 'un on symptom spotting threads over the past month or so, and I think this month may be when I properly join in!

Come and join us Caitni...we're all having fun, laughing at me mainly and a couple of shoulders for sobbing on when the pg hormones take hold while we wait to test!!

Temp. has returned to what might be expected for not being preggers this month. I've done the temperature thing for a while now, after an ectopic that didn't give the usual symptoms. I didn't need to do a test (although I did - lots!) with either my ds or a subsequent unsuccessful pregnancy as my temp. had gone through the roof and I felt like I had a permanent hangover, all a good 5 days before AF was due .

Thanks for helping me through my sticky patch, I'd also never heard of the hypnowhatnot CD. Maybe I'll dig out those binoculars for a bit of spotting this time next month .
