Wacky period anyone? Spotting & light, short period

Not really sure what to make of thsi period. I started spotting 8dpo, which happened last month as well (I usually have a 10 day LP), then a little bit more 9dpo. Got a medium-ish period in the morning 10dpo, but then it disappeared to very light spotting again in the afternoon. Today (11dpo or CD2) I'm back to spotting again. Just heavy enough for a panty liner. I'm very confused Has anyone had a super wacky period like this before?

Any spotting between periods should be checked out medically by your GP to ascertain the cause. Its often not serious but this should be mentioned to your GP.

You are not CD2, you may not even be 11 days post ovulation. Ovulation is not an exact science and it is all too easy to get the date wrong. It is also quite possible to have periods without ovulating.

Thanks for your message. I do intend to see my GP. This morning my period is very heavy.

I chart my temp and although I know you'll say that charting is not definitive, I have a very clear temp shift that suggests ovulation, so I'm pretty confident with the CD2/11dpo and the fact that I am indeed ovulating. I'm more concerned with the seemingly starting and stopping of bleeding because I do have what appears to be a short luteal phase.
