Right, here goes!!

Me & DH have be TTC for only 2 months now, i dont think this month has been a success as we have had very little time together (DH has been working away etc). With AF due in 2 weeks i am strating to feel really frustrated. To put the icing on the cake my sister has just announced she is now pregnant (this was not planned) and now i feel that if i do get pregnant soon i'll take the lime light away from my sister.
I already have one DS and this will be my sisters first child, she still lives at home with my mum & dad and althoug i am happy for her i cant help but feel a bit bitter about the whole thing!

Is this normal? or am i being silly & petty?

Trying for a baby is very stressful and an incredibly sensitive time. I fell very quickly with my first, it took 8 months for my second and three years to conceive my third. Hang in there and prepare yourself for the fact that it might take you a bit longer. If you are frustrated I did find ovulation kits made me feel a little more in control of my trying to conceive. Your sister is pregnant and you feel a bit bitter, well that is entirely natural if you are wanting to conceive too. But just think she will have her baby first and the longer it takes you to have yours means the more time between the births and then YOU will not have to share her lime light when your precious arrival comes along. Second babies can be a bit less fussed over than the first - so just see the time passing as a positive gap between cousins.
