10 days is fine though. Below 10 days can be problematic but 10 days is fine. Who told you that was a defect?

I had secondary infertility due to luteal phase defect (6-8 days), I initially considered high dosage B6 (100 - 200mg per day .. have to ask for it) but didn't have the patience to wait the 6 months for it to build up in my system (due to age).

My consultant was not a believer in progesterone and felt that, although other consultants prescribed progesterone pessaries it was treating symptoms rather than underlying cause ... she put me on clomid to give me a general boost and I conceived first cycle

Thanks twigglet I have been put on clomid to but it dosent seem to have changed my cycle at all yet. Maybe my luteal phase will be longer this month but I still didnt ov until day19 same as last month. Hopefully I am just worrying about nothing.

just so you know it didn't bring forward my ovulation date .. I was still ovulating on day 23 .. I assume it just lengthened the luteal phase so fertilised egg had a chance to implant

remember you only have a 25% of conceiving each month

good luck
