In the past 8 months I have had two miscarriages. Left devastated. Planning to start trying again this month but so scared it will happen again. Is there anything I could or should be doing to make this time round a success?

New to site - welcome your thoughts.

Sorry to hear about your miscarriages. I also had two miscarriages over about 6 months. Straight after the second miscarriage I became pregnant again, and am now past the 12 week mark, and there are no problems.

Try and stay hopeful, and do things to take your made of of it.

'take your made of of it.' that doesn't make any sense!

'take your mind off of it'

Hello Queenie, I dont know the answer to your question, but am so sorry for your losses. I have one dd, have mc'd once and have been trying for 7 months. I eat healthily, drink very little (couple of glasses at weekends), take regular exercise. Stressed - course I am but what can I do?! I just hope that when I conceive (NOT IF!), it will last. Good Luck x

Hello queenie... I also had 2 mc's within 12 months. It was third time lucky for me though and I now have a dd who is almost 1

I didn't do anything differently (because I hadn't done anything wrong in the first place but at the time, I did feel very guilty and thought I was to blame in some way..)

I tried to relax (ha !) and knowing that if I had a 3rd mc at least I would then be referred for further investigation on the NhS. I know that's little comfort but I just wanted to know why it kept happening..

Good luck x

The best thing you can be doing is just relax.
I had a miscarriage at 9 weeks and in the following year I had two late periods - I am usually very regular and had pg symptoms but wanted to wait to do a pg test so I will never know whether those were early miscarriages or not
What I'm trying to say is that I may have had 3mc and went on to have 2 little boys 16m apart.

I didn't do anything in particular, I think sometimes your body just needs a couple of practise runs. Thats what I kept telling myself anyway. I found it impossible to enjoy being pg with my first son, but the hospital were fab and gave me extra scans for reassurance.

Thanks for your comments. Will try to relax (in ways that don't resort to wine!) and will see what happens. All fingers crossed.
