Conception

Has anyone had a c-section, a difficult recovery from it (ie inflammation/infection etc) and gone on to conceive again?

As the title says really!

Conceived easily first time around. Had a c-section.

Section scar got inflamed and infected (from lots of shifting around trying to breast feed twins and trying to generally do too much too soon).

I'm now on month 6 of trying again and wondering if this has scarred my womb and caused problems...

Any happy stories of conceiving again in this circumstance?

I had c-section with huge wound infection and cellulitis, took weeks of IV antibiotics to clear up.
Concieved no problem 2nd time. C-section again but no infection second time and healed well.
Good luck!

Hi

I have had two sections but no problems with infections either time. DD1 was a section and I conceived DD2 8 months later first month of trying. Good luck to you

Me. My scar wasn't sewn up properly straight after the birth and was left oozing for 12 hours. 15 months later it had come aprt 3 times so I had it redone. Had 2 babies since and 2 m/c.
