EWCM...then three hours later, nothing.

Anyone else had this?
Got it this morning, thinking I had the green light...now I've got nothing except drier, sticky CM. Can't be semen as last BD was 24 hours ago. Am confused, have been looking for all the natural ov signs as well as doing opks.

Got EWCM on Friday morning, then watery-lotion like CM for the weekend, more EWCM this morning, now it's suddenly dried up. Have had negative OPKs for the last 6 days. Am now thinking I missed my surge over the weekend. But also have irregular cycles so I could still ov in the next two weeks.

Bloody hell, wish I could just not think about it - but I thought if I took more control over my ov-spotting I'd be more chilled out in the 2ww. Fat chance.

Hi

If your cycles are irregular you are less likely to be ovulating regualrly if at all.

Don't use the opk's any more; these are not worth using if your cycle is irregular. Apart from their inherent problems these things cost a small fortune!!!.

I would instead have a blood test done to see what your hormone levels are like (you can have a blood test done on calendar days i.e the 3rd of the month). If you do have a blood test done make sure that the GP compares the level of LH against that of FSH when the result comes back.

If LH and FSH are out of sync then ovulation will be affected.

Thanks Attila, you're probably sick of telling me the same thing again and again . TTC'ing has turned me into an impatient control freak. God knows how long I'll have to wait for another CD3 to roll round so I can get those blood tests done. No more ov tests next cycle, i promise!

Hi

I would see if you can have the blood test done on the 3rd of next month. Calendar days are fine to use if the cycle is all over the place.
