i feel like a failure

i know there are people out there who have been tryig to have a baby for years and i really feel for them. but i want another baby more than anything in the world. i know i should be thankful i have a fantastic dd but i want her to have some company, a friend to play with and a younger brother or sister to share things with and boss about.

i just did a pregnancy test and it was negative and i feel like i failed the test or something.

sorry just needed to get it out my head and hopefully ill stop crying o that dh doesnt see how upset i really am

starshaker, please please don't feel like you are a failure. Maybe you just tested too early, you don't know for sure until af shows up. i know it is hard, i too am trying for a baby bro or sis for my dd. it will happen i am sure

I'm not sure why your DH knowing you are upset is a problem?

You can't compare how you feel with other people - there isn't a grading of hurt like the richter scale for earthquakes. I never managed to get pregnant - it was devastating and so I can identify with your pain.

However... you do need to find a way of dealing with how you feel, perhaps being more open about it, getting so worked up about it will not help you conceive. I think the average time taken to conceive is 8 months (?) so if you've been trying less than that then you're just a normal woman.

it was the first attempt but i stupidly thought that since i fell pg with dd while i was on the pill and dh was wearing protection it would happen instanty
