Hi i have been ttc for the last 9 months, cycle is usually 29/30 days so i thought i normally o/v around day 15/16. Decided to use an o/v test on day 18 and got two lines!! Does this mean that my cycle will be longer? Don't want to test too early but not sure when to test, really positive this month so don't want to disappoint myself before I have too! please help

Hi sarah, I don't think day 18 is too unusual. If you've tested for o/v earlier on previous cycles, then it does mean that this is a longer cycle. If it's the first time you've tested then it's quite likely you've always ov'ed on day 18. The time between ov'ing and AF is usually 12-14 days, so you're not far off at all. It can be shorter in some women, as long as it's no shorter than 10 days you have nothing to worry about.
Most pregnancy tests say to wait till 14/15 days past ovulation, 17 to get a really accurate result.

Thanks digitalgirl, this is the first time i have used o/v tests, kept thinking i could do it all by myself like with dd, but now i am just getting desperate for a bfp!
