I am in areal tizz.
I have a son who is 5 and DH and i have been thinking about another child.
But can we afford it?
I am just about to go back to work, our son is at a private prep,we do not have oodles of cash and it feels like we are getting our lives together after 5 years of moving for work and have a chance to get some money together finally.
BUT i cannot stop this feeling.I was an only child for 10 years til my step sister was born and could not imagine her not being around now.
I know this is rambling but i could really do with some advice.
Thankyou.

Why don't you turn the question around ' Can you afford not to have another baby?'
If you really want one and you think it would be good for your family then sod the money you'll work it out.

In the same quandry myself. I would have 10 if i was allowed, i have enjoyed my little chap soooo much. However, practicalities must prevail and we have decided to wait. All my friends who have had a 2nd baby are all on antidepressants! this puts me off somewhat. Trouble is im 34, with a 15 month old and part time at work, simply cant afford to give up work altogether yet im struggling with part time hours. when do we have another? I agree CANNOT stop the feeling..good luck with your decision.

34 is really young. There's no hurry. I am having my second at 41, and it took me all of, ooh, twenty minutes to conceive (TMI?). My first will be 3yrs and 5months when the next arrives, all being well. Do it when you feel ready. I know LOTS of mothers of two and none on ADs, too!
