Hi, this is my first posting so sorry if this has all been discussed before! I have one DS and DH and i are trying for another. I am on third cycle now and still nothing. Last time it happened first time. I have all the signs like egg white and cramping but the ovulation kit is saying that i am not fertile!! Has this happened to anyone else??

Hello! yes, I have the same result on opk's. Plus, sometimes, I get the ov signs (like ewcm) first and the egg sign (I use Persona) several days later. This is very confusing, isn't it?

Thanks mamalex, I was beginning to think that something was wrong! I am so confused as to when to try! I think i might scrap opk's as they are making me more stressed. I didn't use them last time. Let me know hoe you get on.

OPK's don't work for everyone and people still get bfp's. Sometimes it's a matter of catching it at the right time as the window for a positive result can be just a few hours. If you are getting the ov signs then go with what your body is telling you. I got pregnant the first time three times and last time it took five months, I guess as you get older it takes a little longer.

Sometimes if you use OPK just once a day you can miss the surge. Have a look at pee on a stick for the answers to all your test questions!

Thanks goingfor3. I know I should stop worrying as we haven't been trying long- i am just so impatient and too much of a control freak !! I am also concerned that my overactive thyroid might affect things.
