you've been using the withdrawal method.

I remember being told this at school. Aparently the clear pre-ejaculation fluid contains sperm. Is this true?

Yes - I have a friend who used this as a contraception for a while and got pregnant in the 3rd month.

More than possible - it's very likely that you will.

Is that good news or bad?

Better go and get yourself a pregnancy test then - at least you'll know one way or the other.

I didn't mean that in a derogatory way to teenagers just at my stupidity.

Yes

It wouldn't be the end of the world but a big adjustment to plans would be required.

I believe from all the comments that it can happen but I didn't think with such a small amount of fluid the sperm could get all the way to my tubes. I'm so green.

It is very possible. Withdrawal is not a very reliable method of contraception.

Isn't this called Vatican Roulette?

Wishing, I feel for you and the many women who are or have been TTC and if I am I will consider myself very lucky even though it's not planned. I'm just very embarrassed with my lack of knowledge and caution to the wind attitude.

My best friend got pregnant using this 'method of contraception.' Afraid it's up there with crossing your fingers for reliability.

Fio, really I didn't. I still can't get my head around the actual biology and little swimmer effort it must take

Fio, if I was completely sure that there was no sperm but just the clear stuff, are there swimmers in that too? Sorry if TMI

But you can't be completely sure when it is inside you!

We actually got talks in sex education at my school about yes, there are swimmers and no, it's not a reliable method.

You obviously didn't go to my school !

I wish I did Ribena, I feel so thick now.

He seems very sure, due to a heart-stopping fear, that he didn't let any go. Cringe

I better just get a test. Thank you for the education girls.

Don't feel bad. How about working up some anger at your school for bad lessons? That should help you re-direct those negative feelings!

Things leak out even if bloke "holds on". Persistent buggers those sperm

Can anyone tell me I'm right in assuming because it happened about a week before AF and not in the fertile middle of the month time that there's a reduced possibility or am I thick in that department too?
