Conception

My DD is 9mo and I have not had AF, should I worry about conceiving?

I want to try for no2 when DD is 1.
I had to have a D&C after 10 weeks of bleeding so I guess I have not had AF for about 7months really.
I have been taking the combined pill for about 6 months but have stopped in the last week cos I kept forgetting.
I was also concerned that it would be stopping my periods, as well as still BF LO.

I don't want to concieve before DD is 1 because I was very ill mith MS during my first pregnancy so don't want to run out of milk for DD until she can be moved onto cows milk.

But have been thinking about it and thought I might pop a question on here for reassurance

Glad to hear I should not really worry about not having AF yet, but, can I ask, did you have morning sickness at all.
I think that when I get so ill I can barely function, I probably won't be able to feed my LO anymore
Of course, I may not get so ill this time, but I think I have to prepare myself for it just in case.

Fairysnuff - I want to give you some reassurance and warnings....

Firstly - beware, you do not have to have your af back before you get pg. So if you really want to wait until your dd is 1, then you do need to be using some form of contraception.

Secondly - you will not run out of milk when you get pg, but you might find that your dd goes off the milk due to a change in taste. My ds self-weaned suddenly at 7 months old due to me being pg and him not liking the change in the taste of the milk.

Thirdly - As reassurance, I would say that I was really bad with morning sickness with my first pg, but on my second it was much much less, and overall the whole pg was easier.

I hope that you get a great 2nd pg too.

oh poo!
I hate CDms (is there an abbreveation for that?)
Good to hear that 2nd pregnancy was better. I really really hope I will be the same.

Oh, lovely
That would be a good way to look at it. I could probably keep up one feed.
If she keeps going when the taste changes.
Do feel better. Thank you both for you kind comments.
