Hello ladies. Another day free from the evil thermometer!

Sorry to see you back at CD1 duchesse. I hope you didn't mind me asking if you'd tested.

It's looking good seaside. I don't know how you can resist testing.

Hope everyone else is doing ok.

Seaside - am keeping everything crossed for you.

Question - had some more EWCM but temp went up (by 0.2) on Sunday. Have I read this wrong? Or could it be, put bluntly, sperm on the way back down? Or what? Am a bit confused.

I got this too Beansprout... I had more EWCM after ovulation than before... Whats all that about! I was confused too! It has gone now...Just thought I would add in the same happened to me,,,, but no answers

What does it all mean?

Report
greedygreedyguzzler · 14/05/2007 20:12

there are ways of telling the difference beansprout! one is something to do with dissolving in water, ie. one does and one doesnt, and the other is something to do with flinging it against the wall and if it sticks its cm and if it doesn't its baby gravy! (or is that spaghetti?).................something like that anyway! ask mrsmcspink! she knows EVERYTHING about ewcm and a thing or two about sperm too!

fettleandminifettle · 14/05/2007 22:40

Where is Ready? Is she ok?

Hope everyone else here is ok?

Duchesse, so sorry to see you back at CD1.

can't help on the sperm - thought maybe sperm sank, EWCM doesn't - even googled it once in the interests of investigation, but can't remember the answer, I'm afraid!

Well I shouted and screamed (in my head!) at my thermometer this morning. I wanted to get 36.8 and finish with temping in a few days again... Why can't our bodies do what we want them to???? Sorry I think I may be going into rant mode again! I know I have ov'd, I just want my chart to agree with me!

Yesterday I met up with a friend and her 3 week old baby, I had cuddles and more cuddles, it felt so good to hold a baby in my arms.

Duchesse - I admire your patience, I know if it were me I would be sceaming and shouting at doctors by now to get on and check everything. Why do our bodies have to send us so crazy?

Jess - sorry you are not feeling positive, being in the 2ww is the pits.

Seaside - wow again at the temp this morning.... you look like you have a tri-phasic chart there. The next couple of days will be interesting. Hope you are really enjoying your holiday despite trips to A&E?

Ready - are you hiding?

rah - how is the not temping going? Are you feeling nice and relaxed?

MrsMc - how are you feeling? Have you been testing more?

Hi to fettle, greedy, honey and all the other ttcers here.

OH MY GOD SEASIDE!!!! HOW can you possibly tell us NOT to get excited? and HOW can you possibly NOT test!? 2 more high temps and you are 'tcoyf pg'!

mum03 - i know its hard, but hang in there and rant all you want!!

minxi - looking at your chart i would say there is something wrong with your thermometer! or maybe you dont leave it in for long enough to equilibrate before you press the button? your temps are certainly all over the place at the moment!

Have scrapped the 36.12 I got on Sunday as that was a late night and I slept in so what with a few wines and lack of sleep best I discard that one as that was a bit weird!

Morning all -quick update - well another morning and no AF - I am really trying not to think about it - plan is to test on Thursday if no AF by then as that would be 31 days and longest ever cycle since TTC has been 30 days? By that point I will be 18dpo so either pg or in menopause - it could go either way!!
I have convinced myself I just OV'd late this month and my chart is lying. I still think the temps are unrelaible

Basically I am just too scared to test as ignorance (and a glimmer of hope) is bliss

Mum03 - sorry OV is being elusive but sometimes it can take more than 24 hours for the temp rise - fingers crossed for tomorrow.

Minxi - I think you temps are confusing - what happens if you disregard the 3 high spikes? I dont know much about clomid but maybe it can skew temps a bit? Your previous charts are also quite "spikey" so maybe that's just your pattern!

Rah & beansprout - re EWCM after ov - isnt it poss to OV twice some months/release 2 eggs one after the other? maybe that's what's going on? keep shagging!

duchesse - get thee to that GP and request a diff doc from the surgery - I did that last year after first doc told me to stop doing OPK's, stop charting, stop worrying, relax and come back in 2 years if not pg (by that time I woiuld have been nearly 36!) new doc - lovely and started tests immediately. Def give acupuncture a go - if nothing else it is a kind of therapy and someone to listen to your worries. Very cathartic.

greedy - ROFL - I am holding out just to torture you No honestly - after 14 months TTC I am 99% sure it will not be a BFP so would rather just try and forget about it. Am on severe knicker watch though- have broken out all my pairs of white pants, am running out now though!

Thanks everyone for kind messages and support Feels like I have a little personal cheerleading squad!

MrsMc - hope you are doing OK and settling down with your news!

Ready - where are you hon- hope you are OK {{{big hugs}}}

lottie - if you are out there somewhere

Sorry ladies, lots going on in my life at the moment - hope everyone is ok?

Minxi - after looking at your chart, I would be inclined to say that you should take out the temps on 13 and 15 - they are outside the normal range, and I would guess they are blips. I might be wrong though. I think that you ovulated based on EW and then the slow temp rise (ignoring those 2 temps) on 16 (possibly 17) - have you tried taking those 2 temps out and seeing what it does to your chart? It's worth doing what greedy suggests too - I find if I let the thermometer get warm, I get more settled temps. ... How was Thorpe Park?

Seaside - Fingers and toes crossed

MrsMc - How did you get on with the consultant?

Mum03 - Sorry to hear you are in a bit of a rant mood today. (hug) why did you need to get up to 36.8 though? 36.7 is enough of a rise to signify ovulation isn't it?

The EWCM conundrum - are you sure it is EWCM and not leftovers? They are quite similar I think... also it is possible to get EW at other times in the cycle not related to OV - and it's normally. Well, that's what I have read anyhow.

Hope everyone is ok?? What have I missed?

Afternoon Ladies...

Really enjoying not temping...have not got a clue! Not sure if I will keep it up around AF time... I have already convinced myself of certain symptoms..

Seaside... you always get your temps right and know when you ovulated... you are mega over you LP>>>> PLEASE do a test as I have a really positive feeling!!!!!!! ( I told ready I thought it might be your month as sometimes going to the fertility place releases some of the stress and hey presto you catch!

Sorry Jess and mum03, both of you are getting wound up! Its tooo stressful!

Be back later XX

I have changed my mind... I now have started having symptoms that AF will be due and am not pregnant. So temping does not matter as my body is so obvious and now just as miserable as usual!

  • Bad PMT
  • Watery Discharge
  • Period cramping

    Nice! I hate my body!!!!

Hi Girls

Sorry you feel AF is on the way again Rah=rah - it has to happen soon for you - have you had all your test results back. sorry if I've missed/forgotten you saying a while back.

Ready - i'm glad you are ok - how's DH's job looking?

Seaside - it is looking good for you, but I can see why you want to wait a bit longer - as Greedy said, once you get to 18 high temps, you are officially temping pg, so you can't really ignore that!

Mum03 - being a visitor to this thread I can't say rant and rave away, but if you need to, I would say this place is the best place to do it!

How you doing today, Duchesse?

Hi Minxi - how is the clomid going? Lots of side-effects?

I know I've forgotten somebody, but I've previewed the screen, so I can't scroll up to check - sorry - I'm thinking of you all lots

Just thought I'd let you all know that I had my scan today and all is going well - finally feel that i may relax now and try and enjoy this pg. Can't believe I'm over half-way now.

Sending you all lots of happy, positive thoughts.

love
