BFP or evaporation line???

Hi- I had a positive Ovulation test last fri, bd'd like mad and had a small bleed over tues/wed last week.. I saw it as a sign could not help but buy a test today. I am due next fri/sat, which i know is super early. I wasn't surprised that it was neg but I put it inmy draw. I went back upstairs and hour later and there was a distinctive blue line through the horizontal line (clearblue).. Ihave seen an evaporation line before and that doesn't have colou, however this is a blue cross, admittedly it is very faint but skeptical husband agrees there is something there but won't get excited until it is super blue, which is understandable given the history.. but what do you guys think?? The evidence I am betting my lifen on is that the line has colou which means that it must have reacted with the dye, the delay I assume is because it is really really early....

Sorry to be a negative response, but it is said that the tests with the cross rather than the separate lines can sometimes bleed through the colour when an evaporation line. So probrably a negative and evaporation line, but it is still early yet to be getting a positive response. Just would not like to get your hopes up at this stage. I think it might be time to wait and test again in a few days....

I know, I think they say this because you can get evaporation lines, I am thinking that it is pointless going to the doctor this early, I did call them when I had my bleed and the doctor specificaly told me not to test so I will get shouted at !! Also we have been referred as well so I don't want anything to slow that down unless we are 100% sure.. how likely do you think it is though???

IME,and i have only ever done cheapo tests(but lots and lots)the times i questioned whether there was a faint line there after a long while, were the times i was pregnant.the few truly negative tests ive done were all very clearly negative even the next day.

thats just my experience though,i do hope you will get the result you want in a few days

thanks diva.. I have used clear blue for the last 2 years and although I have seen an evaporation line, I have never seen one with an evaporation line with colour.. I know that I am probably hanging onto something that is nothing, but waiting until next fri/sat will kill me.. because I know that I will unklikely get a fierce BFP until my af is late

Anything you read an hour after the test is v likely to be an evap line. If you had seen this at 10 mins it could be a contender!! If you are desperate, try again with first wee of the day and see what happens? Although that said, the later you can hang on the better as you could have a mad, not to mention expensive week.

Best of luck though!!

This happened to me with DS2. I used the predictor pregnancy test and thought it was negative when I had taken it. Left it on the windowsill on the bathroom and when I went back in a little while later I could see a really faint dot. Did another test which was positive and 8 months later DS2 arrived. So it could be that you are testing too early to get a strong line. The hcg hormone doubles every day so I would leave it until the middle of the week if you can bear it and try again then - good luck!!

I had this with a clearblue 'old style' test (ie not the digital worded one) then wnet and got a 'first response' test and got a good second positive line 4 days before af due (did it with first wee of the morning) fingers crossed

also I think I had an implantation bleed on Tues/Wed of last week so surely if I were pg I would have substantial HCG in my wee now because it logically would have been established since wed/thurs last week??? Makng it 5 days since it implanted?

is your period due on friday/saturday? so are you trying to test like 6 days early?? i would wait until friday before testing - if you are pg,you will know within a week probably....you could take up to a week to implant as well,it does take a while for the hcg to go in your urine to a level a hpt could see.

go on accessdiagnostics.co.uk

and get 10miu tests-most sensitive if you must test more!!
