We used conceive plus, I was desperate to try anything that would help. We used it for a few months and I now have a 10 month old son so it can't have hurt Wink
Apparently normal lubes aren't advisable when TTC but fertility lubes act like fertile CM so help the sperm get where they need to go.
If I remember correctly you can either buy a bottle of it or it comes in 'handy applicators' which we found hilarious to use so that added a bit of fun into what had become a stressful journey.
I'm almost certainly over sharing now... Blush

We used Balance Activ. No idea if it helped at all but it won't do any harm!

We don't normally use lube just go at naturale Blush so I just wondered if it was really noticeable when you are using it.

We have been ttc for 8mth so far which isn't long I know but thought we'd give it a go if it seemed to work

Oh my gosh, now I'm panicking about our lube. I guess if no luck this month then I'll give one of these a try... never heard any of my friends with DCs mention anything of the like, and they talked me through things to do when TTC.

Still, as MagpieMama says, it can't hurt.

I don't talk lube normally so it's not something I'd have brought up lol Grin

Ha ha no that's true Smile, but our decision to ttc was greeted by all sorts of TMI information from friends! Mainly because it came after a traumatic doctors appointment after a year of to-ing and fro-ing. We're on mission "get pregnant asap" so got all sorts of unexpected advice! Smile

We used pre-seed lubricant. It really helped! I have a 2 year old DD, she was conceived 4 months after starting to use it, we had 19 unsuccessful months before that!

We use preseed also. I have a medical condition where I have to use a lube, always used the normal ky or durex until we started to TTC then the Dr advised to use this, still trying atm, but I can confirm it's a really good product to use, you only need a really small amount so it lasts ages, isn't sticky or greasy like the other brands, and it's safe when TTC Smile x

We used conceive plus for a few months. I'm pregnant at the moment!

another pre-seed user. Agree it's a good product - nice to use - and there is good evidence to show that while it can't ensure you conceive (unfortunately nothing you can but in a shop can do that) it definitely won't stop it happening - and there is some evidence that other lubes may do that.

I'm going to go against the tide here and say I didn't like it. Didn't seem to help me get pregnant any faster (It took us 7 months) and I found conceive plus and pre seed too wet and watery- it made everything too damp! But agree it's worth a try. Acupuncture seemed to work for me in the end, incidentally.

Oh this is interesting, I had read that lube could stop things from working but didn't realise you could get conception lubes. Where did you buy yours from? Just amazon?

Report
MagpieMama · 20/08/2014 22:02

I got mine from amazon. I think Boots stock it too.

I used one (conceive plus I think it was called), but I basically threw the kitchen sink at getting pregnant the month I got pregnant (agnus castus, temping like a crazy woman, checking cervical mucus, legs in the air) none of which, of course, is a sure-fire way to get preg!

For me, I think it was luck BUT it's not going to hurt your chances, so go for it and see what you think!

I got YES Baby lubricants here.

ethicalfamilyplanning.com/store/yes-organic-vegan-lubricants.html

They use only natural ingredients which I really appreciated as I tend to get skin irritation really easily

Another preseed user. Got pregnant the first month of using it. To be clear, it's just a lubricant, not magic potion, but it does help the boys swim better!

Preseed for me - didn't bother with the filled applicators just bought tube. You only need a small amount so it lasts ages. You can usually find a 10% off code - was TAM (trying after miscarriage). Got pregnant 3 times - sadly first 2 ended in miscarriage but 3rd time lucky at 46!

I ordered the pre-seed :) It should be arriving tomorrow (and of course DH is away this weekend!!)

I've ordered pre-seed as well! Due to arrive tomorrow before we set off for a wedding. Although still no sign of AF post-implant removal so have no idea if I have/am/will ovulate(d).
