Anyone had BFN's 7 days after af due but went on to actually be PG?

Hi all - help appreciated.
Quick run down. DS1 is 6, me and DH were going to start ttc in a few months but haven't been particularly careful either.

Last af started on 25th June. My cycles average 27 - 28 days and I have only ever been 2 days late max in my life - except when pg with DS.

I has a small amount of spotting after dtd on the 26th July but no af still. Have done 4 tests - all bfn. I have heartburn which I've only ever had when pg, my tummy is tight, I've been nauseous, had a headache for 5 days and boobs feel bigger although not sore.

I'm so confused and keep reading about the pregnancy hormone being low and people getting negatives until they are weeks pg. Has this happened to anyone? I feel so frustrated and other people keep getting bfps days before their af is due!

I never had a positive home test with any of my 4 DS until 7-10 past when my AF was due - doctors tests were even worse as they didn't show positive until over 14 days overdue.

I'm so sure I am and to keep getting blatantly negative tests is so frustrating!

I will see if af arrives and if not hold off to re-test in another 3 days.
