Hi all, I am 38 and lost my baby boy at 22w last Nov. I thought I would start a thread for ladies in the same position as me because I would like to know if anyone has experienced the same and how long it took them to conceive? Background: went into labour last Nov 19th at 22 weeks, 4cms dilated by the time we got to the hospital, too late to do anything, he was born at 5.40pm. Had all the tests/autopsy and it turned out that my placenta has gone hard and was not feeding him and a possible incompetent cervix. Have been trying since Feb and a week into cycle 7 and just back on iron supplements after a lowish count on a test this week. Been told it could take a year...

Hi Lena, sorry you've been through such an awful experience. I'm in a different position as have had 3 early miscarriages in the last year. Can they give you any medication to help with placenta next time round?
I know there are definitely some other ladies around who have experienced late losses, but I don't know if they're currently TTC.
Good luck xx
