Implantation Bleeding vs Period confusion

I really want a BFP and may be clutching at straws! I came off the pill 3 months ago and have had 1 normal cycle period and one slightly out of kink one (4 days late). My next period is due any time from this weekend (if it plays by the rules). Over the last few days I have had very very light spotting, barely anything on a tissue and of a dark brown colour. This made me hopeful. This evening there has been a whole lot more on the tissue (sorry tmi) tho not needing my mooncup yet and I guess it could be my period starting early although an darker colour than usual. Took a pregnancy test bfn . I guess I'll have a better idea over the next day or so. I'm not sure why I'm posting, a need to get it out, deflated but still holding on to the (unlikely and slim) possibility it may still be implantation Bleeding.

Hiya completely understand you posting, I would have done the same. I guess it possible an implantation bleed, though it sounds a little like my first af after coming off pill. It was exactly like that for 5 days. Just finished cycle 2 here an no bfp yet af arrived and spoilt the part at day 25!! I will keep all crossed for you, you never know :-)

Thank you Katybear and I will for you! :) I guess the earliness has confused me. I never realised there was so much science to this, naively thought that it would be instant after coming off the pill!

I came off the pill in december and my body is still getting back to normal, i had brown spotting a week before my period was due, in fact today, was convinced it was implantation bleeding , and then AF came today, you could be lucky and it is for you but dont be too alarmed if it isnt , fx for you

Ah I feel your pain! This is my first cycle since MC in June so I'm not sure when to expect AF and had spotting yesterday, which I don't usually get. Although I'm wondering because its my first cycle since MC maybe my periods will be slightly different to how they used to be.

Anyway, I've had no spotting today and have done an Amazon cheapy and I think I've managed to convince myself there is the faintest possible line if I squint, hold the test at the right height, in the right light, and at the right angle.

Hmmm. Guess there's nothing more we can do except keep testing and hoping AF doesn't arrive.

Let us know how you get on over the next few days

best of luck x

Thanks ladies :) it's been too much today for IB but too little (and weird/early) for normal AF so I think my body is telling me I'm not settled yet after five years on the pill. I think I'm going to join one of the buses for support as it may take me a while! Shame as I had a lovely calm feeling all day yesterday until the heavier bleeding. I need to harness that calm feeling as less stress = more chance of a quicker BFP!
