Hi everyone!
First post on here so sorry if this subject has been raised already!
I came off Yasmin 7 weeks ago, had my withdrawal bleed 5 days later and then had no symptoms or signs of anything until 3 weeks after my bleed i had some spotting, within that 3rd week and into the 4th i had cramping everyday as though I was going to get my period. Towards the end of week 5 i had some brown discharge (sorry to be a bit personal!) and then after that the cramps stopped and literally feel nothing.

Also my hair is really greasy, hormones are all over the place and outing weight on!

Has anyone had similar problems and have any advice? Wondering how long it will take to get my natural period?

Thanks! xx

Hiya, ive only just stopped (nearly 2 weeks ago) & after reading different things on the internet im a bit worried about what is in store! There is a forum devoted to stopping yasmin and from what I read, weight gain, bad skin, mood swings etc are pretty common :-(

I stopped Yasmin in December, and got my period back straight away though they did jump from being early to late each month, I feel so much better from being off if Yasmin , my weight stayed the same, did not see any spots or oily face , my hair is always greasy and not got any worse, try not to stress about it, I read the Yasmin forum and I never had any of the side effects they talked about from coming off of it , but I know everyone is different, hopefully you will be fine x

Erm - have you taken a pregnancy test? Or is it possible that you are pregnant?

I came off Yasmin and had my withdrawal bleed. Nothing happened at all, I must have ovulated about 6/7 weeks after the last pill though as I got my BFP after 8/9 weeks or so.

I think it takes a while to get completely out of your system.

FWIW, your hair could be greasy because it's hot and weight gain might by happening due to eating more/doing less?!

Thanks for feedback guys!

Definitely not pregnant, did my most recent test today. What does BFP mean?

I eat really well and exercise up to 4 days a week so dont think weight gain is due to that. Greasy hair is definitely new to me.

Thats helpful to know, i can feel something happening at the min so maybe I'm ovulating now which but a similar amount of time to u.

Learning to live with it though, felt so strange at first but nothing u can do about hormones! Joys of being female!
