So, if a test uses pink dye, is it a frer? And blue dye means it's a normal one?

Sorry if this is a stupid question!

FRER = First Response Early Result (a specific type of test by the brand First Response) - you can use them from about 5-6 days before you expect your period and they get good results on here (few evaporation lines/unclear results).

Generally, people seem to rate the red dye tests as being better (FRER uses red dye, Clearblue uses blue) but there are other brands that use red dye too.

Hope this helps!

And there's no such thing as a stupid question :-)

Thanks!

I know what a frer is, but I wondered how I could recognize them. Tests over here are different than those in the UK when looking at packaging. I hoped the pink dye would mean it is a frer, as I know a couple of brands that use pink dye.

No, First Response Early Result is a specific brand of test, but there are many that use pink dye! Superdrug early result tests also use pink dye and in my experience are very good, and a whole lot cheaper than FRER haha.
