I'm currently 5dpo, AF due next Fri. Waiting is SO difficult!

Report
sebsmummy1 · 18/07/2014 15:34

I'm 5dpo too. The last one of these I went on I ended up pregnant (miscarried unfortunately).

I used the CBFM this cycle and got an early low to peak without any EWCM. So I'm not in the slightest bit convinced I ovulated, but always hopeful.

Only exciting thing that's happened do far is some thick creamy cm that is indicative of high progesterone. Obviously hoping it continues into the second week as that tends to be a pregnancy symptom for me.

Thanks Pinpan, hello again 'oldies' and newbies alike! I am cd5 and expecting to start testing with OPKs by cd13 so a little while to go before I start yet. Will keep watch on your progress and join again when it becomes my TWW. Good luck ladies!

Hey all. Yay new thread!! Let's get more BFPs on this one. Sooo I just for some random reason used a digital opk this evening and got peak fertility!! I'm so glad I did. I wasn't going to test with one til tomorrow as I am meant to ovulate Sunday. So glad I did on the off chance or I'd have missed it! I would have ovulated tomorrow and not DTD tonight! So there you go. Annoyed that I thought I knew my body really well but pleased that at least it's all still working and it ends up being a day sooner this month that I can POAS!!

Oh my gosh my husband is annoying me sooo much tonight. He has his son round and it's been quite hard work and made him grumpy. So whether I will even get to DTD remains to be seen. As it is now I don't even want to hug him. So I may already be out this month!!!!

Im CD16 today, but still not sure what my body is doing so have been dtd in the last week just in case.

Im hoping my body is starting to settle down now after coming off the pill. So technically I could POAS in 12 days! Will try and hold off as long as possible!

Out of interest does anyone 'feel' that they have/are ovulating each cycle?

Report
RedBunny · 18/07/2014 21:41

I can feel when I actually am ovulating. Which is usually in the middle of the day and not helpful because I worry that by the time the night comes around, I may DTD but by the time the sperm have for up there the egg is going to be gone!! So I always use opks now just to be sure I can DTD before ovulation actually happens. Do you not feel when you ovulate? I know not everyone does.

Report
HappilyMrsR · 18/07/2014 22:20

RedBunny and Winnie I do. Not sure if the pain marks pre- ovulation, during or post-ovulation but def feel it on one side, usually mid afternoon and then on and off all evening. Last cycle we Dtd about 12 hours before ovulation pains so I was annoyed that we didn't get a BFP!

Report
winnie1981 · 19/07/2014 09:07

I feel something but it's been on/off for about 5 days so I'm *thinking it could be my body getting ready for egg release but I've no idea really. Just assuming as it's in the mid cycle

Well we've opted to pay for fertility testing to check all is ok, get results next week. From the scan they did with me they said all looked good so hoping hubbie is ok too and it is simply down to being patient. Another friend has just announced her pregnancy on FB so feeling happy for her but sad for me, I'm so selfish! Good luck everyone! X

6dpo here, stringy white cm, EWCM on wiping, so have no idea if this is because I didn't ovulate or just an oestrogen surge. Opks are negative, let's see what tomorrow brings as I tend to get pretty dry from 7dpo onwards if I'm not pregnant.

Report
RedBunny · 20/07/2014 08:03

So that could be a good sign sebsmummy? Good to hear!!
I apparently am still I peak fertility which makes no sense to me at all as I usually get my LH surge for an afternoon and that's it. And I've now apparently had it since Friday afternoon.... No idea what's going on with me. I thought I felt ovulation pains yesterday which I'd expect but they felt different to usual.... So annoying!!! I thought I knew my cycle now! Newbie that sucks. I know it seems mean but I really don't want to know about other people being able to get pregnant! I imagine you feel the same. It just seems a bit... Well why do they get to do it and not me?

Report
sebsmummy1 · 20/07/2014 10:42

Unfortunately it's a sign of precisely nothing lol, you learn pretty quickly that the only thing that really tells you you are pregnant is a positive hpt and a missed period.

I had positive opks for quite a while this cycle too, I put it down to my body trying to OV multiple times. In my case I don't think it quite managed it.

I'm on CD2 at the moment, so it's a long time until the two week wait even starts. I'm not at risk of peeing on a stick just yet. ;)

I think some support to get through the cycle without turning into a psycho could turn out handy!

Report
RedBunny · 21/07/2014 08:11

2dpo today and you know it really doesn't bother me. It's the second half of the two week wait that I find absolutely awful. That makes me super super crazy. How's everyone doing?

Ooh exciting new thread!

I'm 6 dpo today and actually feeling remarkably chilled. Have been too busy to count so the last 6 days have flown by and I've got another busy week so hopefully won't symptom spot/notice AF creeping up on me.

I'm sure by 12 dpo I will be markedly less relaxed but I'm off for a weekend away on Thursday followed by a 2 week hol on Tuesday and I'm not taking pee sticks with me (and should ov whilst away so for me this is radical - such a loser) so I'm hoping this urban myth about "relaxing and it will happen" turns out to be true. Hmm...

Good luck Sarahg, I'm off on a week's holiday that coincides with ovulation too so fingers crossed the relaxation will sort me out. Also just thinking of Dtd every 2-3 days rather than just at peak time - hoping it might take the pressure off a bit.

I am so relieved that the Due March 2015 thread has gone from my I'm on list. I actually wish I was in a 2ww right now, got to wait for AF to get me before we can TTC again. Since I now only have one tube and have no idea how this will affect my fertility in reality, both DH and I want to TTC straight away.

Report
RedBunny · 22/07/2014 11:27

Why do you have to wait for a period? I don't know if there's any special reason, I just know after my miscarriages I was told I didn't need to wait, just some of the more 'old school thinking' doctors advise waiting. Like if your body isn't ready for another pregnancy it's not gonna happen anyway. Well I never waited. Though it hasn't helped me at all this time!! Cycle 5 since last miscarriage. I totally get you wanting to try again as soon as possible.
