OH and i have recently decided to start trying for our first baby together (i have a 2yr old DS and he has a 9yr old DD both from previous relationships) so I stopped taking my pill just under 3 weeks ago. I have read up about how long your cycle takes to get back to normal and all the stories i've read seem to point in the direction of months on end with no periods/ovulation Sad is this the case for everyone or have i scared myself unnecessarily? Anyone in the same situation or with relevant advice your knowledge would be much appreciated Smile

There is no way of knowing unfortunately!
Just remember that for everyone who says they took 6 months to a year or more to get their periods back on track, there are just as many that go back to normal straight away!
My periods went back to being very regular straight away, and I had been on the pill for over 10 years :) Don't stress about it!

Thanks hanflan, thats a much better way of thinking about it. I have only been on the pill for just over a year and had regular cycles before so fingers crossed Wink

Hello. I was on the pill for about 4 years before TTC DS. Periods came back regular straight away and got pregnant 2nd cycle. Have just stopped again to try for number 2 and have regular periods again so hoping I am oving again too!
