I love a good 'I knew' story and as I'm definately am not symptom spotting I'd love to hear how Grin
I'm sure I read a thread recently where loads of women knew, how early? What made you think 'ah ha!'? Did you feel any different physically or mentally?

I knew from when I went to the toilet after dtd, I just said to myself I'm pregnant. But it wasn't til a while had passed things kept happening like dizziness, implantation bleed, funny smells etc think I was about 8 days late when I tested and got my bfp straight away! Now ds is 3Shock

Oh dear, not many people knowing today then!
I've heard of people just having a 'feeling' and some people saying they had physical signs!
I'm always amazed you can tell that early but I love hearing people's stories Smile

I knew with my DC2 after about 2 weeks..

I felt different.. With my first DC I was incredibly tired in my first trimester and I felt the same the second time. Exhausted but no real exertion,

I had to wait two weeks until I could do a test to know I was right though!!

I swear I knew straight after DTD. I did a test when I was 2 days late and lo and behold!

I don't know what the 'feeling' was... we'd had sex without contraception etc before.... I told my best friend afterwards (a few days after DTD) and she was sceptical... but I said I had a weird notion I might be PG so wan't going to drink wine all night long like I usually did just incase! I am glad I didn't.

I have never had the feeling before or after... but I'm considering no.2 so I hope I can be as sure!

I tested 11 days before I was due as I was convinced I was pregnant. It was our first month of trying so potentially a bit overexcited. I felt sick in the morning and we bought a 2 pack of tests. It obviously came back negative. I only managed to wait another 3 days before testing again, so was still 8 days before due date when I got my BFP.
With number 2 I should have realised right away when DP came home a bit late and I ended up crying on the kitchen floor because I felt sick from hunger. I didn't test early this time though having read all about chemical pregnancies on mumsnet. Waited until due date and got a negative, then had to test everyday for a week before getting a positive but I knew it would be postive.

First time DH 'knew'. He kept telling me to POAS, I kept telling him no (we'd been TTC for nearly a year). Lo and behold - BFP. This time I was exhausted and my head was muddled. I knew when I had a dinner party and forgot to cook the potatoes. Sure enough, BFP the next day!

Fingers crossed for you btw! Smile

I knew about 4days after dtd. I got dizzy spells and just felt different. I have no idea why. I also got implantation cramps and bleeding both times.

Got my bfps stupidly early too - I think about 10 days after dtd.

With dd About five days after the conception would have been, I was working and I started feeling really hot and bothered, and weird and irritable, just not myself somehow. I never had any morning sickness. But none the less I was convinced I was.

Mama you got a Bfp 8 days before af?! Good god! I thought 4 days before was the max? Or maybe it's different for different people?

I'm loving these stories!
I knew dd was a girl as soon as I got my Bfp. Just knew. Wasnt shocked at all when she arrived Grin

I didn't have any symptoms as such that made me 'know' but something inside me did 'just know' Smile

I started POAS from 7dpo, sometimes testing two or three times a day. I was getting negative after negative after negative but not once did I feel sad about it. Something inside me 'just knew' that despite those BFNs I was ultimately going to get a BFP. In my eyes it wasn't a case of if I was going to be pregnant, I knew I would be, I was just excited as to what day it would be confirmed - which turned out to be the day my period was due. Smile

I only had one period after stopping Bf with dd at 13 months. So I had no idea on my cycle lengths etc. DH and I discussed trying for number two as period had returned and it took so long for dd to happen and whether I should use some type of contraception Wink

That weekend we had a night I ourselves ....

A week later I didn't want tea. I did a test and I was +I've. I just knew that time. Was still mega shocked - was hoping it would take longer but wouldn't change my lovely blue bundle for the world.

I had gone off Depro Provera some months prior to it, as I was getting crazy unexplained pains while on it. Had unprotected sex with my ex husband and said to him afterwards "Why do I have this odd feeling I just got pregnant?". At the time I was still pretty irregular from the Depro, so I thought nothing of it until my best friend asked "Hey when was the last time you had AF?". Shockingly I was already 3-4 months along. That was 15 years ago!

I felt different only a few days after dtd too.
I felt warm, like someone had turned my thermostat up a degree. I'd never heard of that as an early symptom but I stayed feeling slightly warmer all throughout my pregnancy. Weird!

I 'knew' both times. Felt increasingly crap, sick, tired, weepy from about a week after conception. Obviously couldn't test that early and in fact finally got BFP quite late with both. B

Posted too soon! I also knew the gender with both very early on. Just a feeling! Second time around I could confidently say yes I feel 'pregnant'. Not sure exactly what that feeling is though!

I knew a week after doing 'the deed' that I was pregnant (the first time I had let DH anywhere near me since DD1 was born lol). I was in town and felt dizzy and odd (I knew that feeling), went to Boots and got a preg text (a double set). The test did say that I would have to wait until 2 weeks after conception to get a result but I did the first test anyway - neg, waited a week and did it again - pos! This is why I have two babies within one year. Not surprisingly, I didn't have any more.

I knew about a week after conception - I had incredibly sore boobs, went off tea and coffee and the thing that made me sure was when I had a glass of wine and couldn't drink it! Grin Waited til AF was due to test and the line came up quicker than the test line. I'd waited because we'd been trying a long time and I didn't want to be thinking if it was a bfn whether it was because it was too early or just bfn. I knew it would be positive though deep down, I felt different somehow.

From 2 days after ovulation i knew instantly. My body felt weird i had this instict and i knew i done a test it said negative and i went to the doctor they refused to do a blood test as it was a bfn i insisted they do one as i knew i was pregnant after arguing with the doctor for 20 minutes she eventually gave in. I then got the result and i was 4+2. I still got negative hpk until i was six weeks wen i got the first bfp on a hpk and then a few days later i mc but yes i believe in 'just knowing' mothers instinct eh? :) xx

I knew with DS. No idea how I knew, I just did. We had been ttc for 18 months and each month I had known that I wasn't pregnant. This time, I said to DH about a week after ovulation; I'm pregnant. He very kindly tried to talk me down as the chances seemed slim. But in my mind I the question was not 'am I pregnant' but 'how soon until a test will show it so that he will believe me'.

With DC2 I had no idea at all....

Its very interesting to read all of these - my DH is convinced I'm pg, but I have done two tests and both BFN. I kinda feel odd too, almost like I have extra blood, and I find myself carrying out 'risk assessments' (sorry I must sound like a nut job). Maybe HPT don't work for some people?? I hate POAS
