Implantation bleeding or dreaded AF?!

Hello all,

Been quietly keeping an eye on these boards for a while and am actually coming to the end of a one month clomid break (after five cycles of which I only ovulated twice)

Anyway, I have an average 31 day cycle, and am today on CD29/11dpo - if indeed I did ovulate (was on hols and needed a head break from all the temping/testing).

SO, my question is this: went to the loo at work today and when I wiped (sorry tmi!) my cm/discharge seemed to be a very light brownish pink. Is it too late for it to be implantation? Is it the very beginning of AF? I can't tell! Have been testing everyday for the last three days and getting BFNs, but I keep getting headaches and light cramping. Don't want to get my hopes up - my chances of conceiving are pretty low due to PCOS and one Fallopian tube missing, but your thoughts/opinions would be much appreciated.

Baby dust all round!

The timing is dead right for implantation. If it is af, it would be slightly early for an 'average' cycle but I'm guessing you don't have average cycles so it could also be that, unfortunately.

Thanks for your reply VJ. Sheesh, trying not to obsess, but it's so hard! Just had another look and it seems have gone quite dark. I reckon it's AF. :( - Ah well.

Still no sign of AF and light brown/pink discharge has disappeared. I'm now 12dpo (if I ovulated at all, that is). Symptom spotting like mad! Will do test on Sunday if af doesn't make an appearance, but does anyone have any positive tales? Been TTC for ages and I so want it to happen...

Good luck! I had implantation bleeding with DS and thought my period was starting early so stuck a tampon up there! When nothing materialised I did a test a few days later. Hope you get your bfp!

That's amazing Totes! Fingers crossed. Keep eyeing up the Clearblue digi in the bathroom and forcing myself to wait! Xx

Sorry Feather. I am in almost exactly the same situation: CD31 and 14DPO, slight brownish show and hoping against all odds it is not AF... but I know it is.....!

It's crap, isn't it?

SO crap revoltingpeas! But until af shows properly, we're not out! If this whole ttc business has taught me anything, it's that it's totally out of our control and anything could happen! How long have you been trying for?

Only since May 2013 which considering I am 34 is not long. However we have other issues, such as I have a weird cervix and DH has erectile dysfunction/ delayed ejaculation which mean that it's harder for us, and we've been waiting a long time to get these issues treated before ttc.

You? If you are 30+ and ttc no. 1, the Elderberry thread is very welcoming and has lots of super helpful advice, I've found.

Ah, hope you've worked through various issues. It's just so tough and every couple has their own story. I'm 34 too. Been trying (loosely) for two years. Was diagnosed with pcos December 2012, and I lost my right Fallopian tube 6 years ago. Been on clomid (50 and then 100mg) since feb this year and I took this month off as I needed the break. They're giving me two more cycles of clomid at 150mg when af arrives, and I have an appointment to discuss 'other options' in October. Really, really, really don't want to do ivf, but it may be the only option.

Hoping we all get our bfps soon!

Ooh you should totally join the Elderberry thread then. There are loads of women on there doing assisted conception, taking clomid, starting ivf etc, and some posters with real expertise. Do job us :)

15dpo/CD33 and still no sign of af. Got a bfn on Saturday. Any thoughts on when I should next try a hpt? Feeling a bit nauseous and headachey, but I don't ''feel" pregnant - no achy boobs and I've just got some creamy white discharge (sorry! Tmi again!) - and also, wondering if I'm symptom spotting and subconsciously making myself nauseous! Surely, if I should have just got a bfp by now if indeed I was preg?

You wouldn't necessarily get a BFP if you are pregnant at this stage. With DD I got 2 BFNs, on the day after AF was due and 4 days after that (and they were Early Response too!). After thinking I was in the clear to go out drinking I finally got BFP 7 days after AF was due!.

Maybe give it 2 more days then test again.

Good luck!
