We just got married in July and I always thought we would have a honeymoon baby. Well I got a BFN on my first cycle so didn't happen! So onto cycle 2...

Would be great to have someone on here to chat to.

Hi Dino.

We got married earlier this year. We decided to ttc end of June. Though due to long cycles/hospital stay last month Im about to enter my first fertile period where we can dtd! (So not sure if that makes it cycle 1 or 2 for us). Either way, we decided to ttc two full months ago and it already feels forever!

Sorry about your bfn. Do you know when you ovulate? Are you doing any monitoring?

Yes me! I got married in August. Stopped taking cerazette in April and fell PG second cycle but sadly mmc just before the wedding (v sad but didn't let it ruin our day or put us off trying again asap). Just waiting for first af so 'practising' rather than 'trying' right this minute ;) How did you feel getting your bfn? We're trying to be very chilled out about ttc...what will be will be etc but it's hard not to get excited and scared esp after MC. Will this be your first PG?

Hi, I'm in the same boat too. We got married this month and cycle 2 started a few days ago. We started trying a few weeks before the wedding. I am using the CBFM but it didn't work last month as the cycle was over 42 days. It's not normally so I think it's because I was so busy and a bit stressed with all the last minute planning. We are also trying to relax and just carry on having fun as before. The monitor is more out of interest for me really as I've always had irregular cycles.

Ah Mrsdino yes it will be your first PG, hence calling yourself a 'newbie to ttc'. Durrr, looks like it's all fried my brains already!!

Hey guys, Can I join in

We got married in May, came off the pill just after. I seem to be having regular periods so far. I have had 2 bfn now and trying to look on the bright side, if I'm not pg by October we will be going on our honeymoon holiday probably to the far east so it gives me something to look forward to if its not happened by then.

I don't like the 2 week wait one bit!!! lol

We went to Thailand for ours! I love Asia! (Wouldn't want to go if pregnant though).

Wow there's a group of us! How nice! Grin

Where is everyone in their cycle?

I'm on cd 12 today. Approx 30-32 day cycles. So should have BFP by 10-13th Sept. Though I have a wedding on cd 27 so will probably test far too early beforehand to serif I should indulge or not Grin

Yea we went to Thailand a few years ago, I wouldn't go if I was pregnant though either. If I'm not then we cant decided between Bali or koh samui :) Gives me something positive to look forward to if I keep getting negatives

AF is due for me on the 6th Sept so if she arrives then its likely I will be getting that holiday (maybe then I will have a honeymoon baby)

Any doing anything exciting over the bank hol weekend?

Hi all, Can I Join?

We got married in Jan this year.. i was actually 10weeks pregnant during wedding and m/c. Got pregnant literally straight away after stopping the pill. Its been a hard time since and AF been all over the place.

We decided to get house sorted after wedding and as it was a raw time having lost our baby we opted not to go on honeymoond striaght after. We only went in June which was lovely mixture of places. Maldives and Belize :) Would love to go Thailand..

Feel that i gave myself enough time although still can be emotional about it. Started ttc last month, ...AF was 17 days late so on cycle 2 trying again..hoping for BFP around 12/13 Sept. I've become quite obsessed

Hi B1985 - its easy to become obsessed. too easy!

I've just brought a big batch of ovulation test strips, my dh is out of the country until mid oct... what's the bests I still use them next month - 'just to see' lol

Sorry to hear about your mc - fingers crossed for your next cycle.

me too!!! We got married Easter wkend this year :) really wanted to ttc straight away but I had a dodgy smear test which resulted in biospy and long wait for results before we could start :(

Anyway everything is all good now for baby making and AF due around the 5th sept so hoping we have luck. This will be bubba 4 for me but only second for hubbie x

Sorry to hear about your mmc. So many people seem to have one. If I do get a BFP my anxiousness will go through the roof!

Well FX for us all. I'm feeling positive September will be our month! Grin

We're in the same boat?.the H.M.S. Newlywed!!

We got married in early July. BFN on first cycle and on second go now. AF due on 2nd sept.

We'd have loved to have a honeymoon baby. But I was a bit slack in taking folic acid in the run-up to the wedding so I actually feel better in myself that I've been taking them since.

10 days to wait?

Hi can I join? I got married early this year but only started ttc in July. So far have had 1 bfn, i'm due to test this time next week although may cave in and test on Monday or Tuesday! I didn't think I would, but I felt really disappointed when I got a bfn last month. Stupidly I though I would just get pregnant straight away, can't for the life of me think where I got that silly idea from...!

captaincake how are you finding the CBFM? I only started using it this month after all the recommendations from people on here as was finding it difficult to work out when I ovulated.

b1985 sorry to hear about your mmc, until coming on here I didn't realise just how common they were. Fingers crossed for your next cycle and for everyone else too! By the way, your honeymoon sounds amazing! We're yet to go on ours yet as we had a lot of stuff to do on our home which I wanted to get out of the way first. But the idea of Maldives and Belize just sounds like heaven especially where I'm sitting today! (Horrible horrible offices with mice traps ON and UNDER my desk!)

keepswimming is there a reason you wouldn't go to Thailand if you were pregnant?

Report
jaykay987 · 23/08/2013 15:54

HMS Newly wed. I love it! (Wonder if it can be as lucky as the really exciting August bus!)

I love Thailand, but won't go pregnant. I'm sure it'd be fine. But Id worry constantly about everything I was eating and drinking. I think it's so easy to get a stomach bug and if I MMC Id blame myself (even though it prob wouldn't be related).
Also, Im not confident in the health care over there and it's a long way from home to rush back for anything medical!

Also flight probably wouldn't be that comfy (I get travel sick easy - so not sure if that wold mix well with pregnancy!)

Wow - for a hypothetical scenario - I've worried about a lot of aspects! Grin

B1985 · 23/08/2013 15:57

LOL @ pinkhat.... my office has same! these odd mouse traps everywhere..im not sitting near them though!

M/S are so common, i didnt realise before or when i was preg! read up alot since though. Its quite frustrating u cant get an answer of WHY it happened im so OCD and perfectionist so i want to try get things right this time but we did nothing wrong ...hard thing to accept that "it just happens" but Drs say usually do because something is wrong with feotus so could be good thing!

Anyway good thoughts and positive thinking girls!

HoneyM was fab so glad we did it then was totally ready mind body and soul. Grin Was hoping to conceive then to but didnt fall anywhere near my fertile days (i think) cycles i think are messed up more cos im a stress head now!

Hiya pinkhat,
I would just worry constantly, last time I went I got the dreaded belly bug. I don't think you can quite guarantee what your eating over there and its not the cleanest of places. I just don't think I could risk it.

I also love the sound of the Maldives, my parents went and the pictures was lovely!!

Well I have just had a tx from dh, he was due home mid Oct but now its looking like the beginning of Sept, now I just need him to be stick around for next months o.... fingers crossed (clearly I'm not holding out much hope for this months) :(

PinkHat1 Not too good so far but it was the first cycle. It was 51 days so wouldn't have worked. I got 2 highs before I ran out of sticks but no peak. It does say it doesn't work for cycles over 42 days (I think) so I'm not surprised. I used the cheap amazon sticks later. I'm hoping that I will have a shorter cycle this month.
