hi, my husband and I are ttc #3. we have a 12 year old and a 9 year old so the symptoms aren't exactly fresh in my head!

I had my period 21-24th April, we have been bd'ing quite frequently since it ended. According to my fertility app I ovulated from 3-7th May whether this is accurate I have no idea! I had the mirena coil in for 8 years so I am not so in tune with my body as most women on here :)

anyway I had the coil removed 12th March so my April period was my first in 8 years. Today I have woke up with extremely painful breasts, the sides are sore. But my nipples are definitely the sorest part, they feel as though they are burning, if I even brush against them it makes me wince! they have also been hard for most of the day, it hasn't been cold! the areola has changed in size and my breasts feel swollen and more pert than usual! this I'm not complaining about...I'm a 36H so pert is good ;)

tonight in bed I have back ache, not pain, more like a dull ache on either side of my spine and feel constipated. this is very unusual for me as I have ibs I am normally very loose!!! I feel nauseous tonight but haven't vomited.

could these be premenstrual symptoms or more likely to be pregnancy symptoms? how soon can I test and any recommendations on the best test to use? sorry for rambling but I have managed to convince myself that I am pregnant as my breast are so sore!

What were your symptoms before you got your period in April?

My symptoms before my period in April were actually non existent apart from a little niggling cramp. I actually had no idea I was going to start, to the point of waking up in the morning covered in blood and a little shocked! :/

Same here but it was when I wiped it showed up was just light the first day. Heavy the second day and barelly there the third day. Havent had AF since.

When would your AF be due?

My AF is due 20th May so not got long to wait.....I'm just impatient :)

oh and my last AF was very very heavy for the entire 4 days. It just all of a sudden stopped, didn't get lighter then stop :/

You never know. You gonna test?

My AF hasnt arrived yet and last test was negative. Theres still hope for us yet this month x

I did test yesterday :/ couldn't wait any longer! should have though, it was negative :( hoping my AF is late and I can test again as I'm still pretty convinced! breast are so swollen, I'm already a 36HH so it's something I really don't need haha, hoping it's not a monthly symptom! husband, on the other hand is hoping it is haha!

when I was pregnant with my daughter I took a test when my af was 2 wks late, it was negative, took another 2 weeks later and it was positive but I was 6 weeks pregnant so was pregnant when I took the first test. x

Sore boobs was my very first preggers symptom! Thought AF was coming but had never had sore boobs before. Even had a bit of a show and was convinced AF on way - turned out bleeding was implantation - good luck I'll be keeping an eye!!!!!!

how late is your AF WannaBeAMummy? mine isn't due yet, I have another 4 days until I know if it's missed/just late. still haven't had any cramping like I normally do, breasts still the same! sore and swollen!

if your AF is late and you tested bfn maybe you've just tested too early. when will you try again? the waiting is a nightmare :(

My AF was due on the 9th so over a week late now:-)

I dunno think either tues or fri if af doesnt arrive x

When I was pregnant with dd my breasts were agony - I thought i was just going to get my period but actually it was a very early (3 weeks) pregnancy sign so there is hope.

Unfortunately lots of the symptoms of early pregnancy are similar to period symptoms too so you won't know properly until after your period is due. Use a digital test in a few days time. Good luck!

I've had brown sludge when wiping for past 5 days - tmi I know but I have to tell someone and that someone is EVERYONE on mumsnet. Lucky you. I had thought it was early AF. Then thought implantation. Now after 2 neg tests I'm just pissed off and have eaten 2 kit Kat chunkys.

MrsRV I have just laughed the whole way through your message! My AF is due tomorrow, according my app of the same name as yours haha! I've had many neg tests but thinking I maybe tested too early, or that I'm simply not pregnant we'll soon find out. Fingers crossed for you too! when will you be testing again?

No sign of AF as of yet and I always start early hours of the morning, did wake up feeling slightly crampy and diarrhoea-y :/ might give it another few days then test if it hasn't appeared, might test tomorrow.....aargh who knows?! hate this unknowing x

Its very exciting knowing that someone else is at exactly the same stage! good luck to us!!! hope AF has not reared her ugly bastard head for you today. All this waiting & not knowing is enough to make the most sane & together person mentally unstable. I am neither of those so you can imagine!!!!

Someone said it might be worth waiting til the weekend to test again! I'm blatantly going to test before then. I'm trying my hardest not to as not sure I can cope with the disappointment. I'm sure my boobs are feeling a bit sensitive today. Or maybe I'm just wanting them to as this was very first symptom with DD. I've eaten so much cake today. Comfort eating in anticipation.

Can I join the tmi wiping and pant spotting club? AF due today, ttc, no pregnancy symptoms (except those I make up such as craving chocolate, hating my job etc) just really really want it - fingers crossed, no testing until Thursday for me though, somehow AF disappointment isn't as bad as poas probably because it's more definitive!

I think I'll test on Thursday. AF is due then, I can't imagine I'll get to be a whole day late without exploding if I don't test!!!!

Just eaten a few of DD choc buttons as no other chocolate in the house. I'm sure this craving for chocolate is a symptom you know - I never ever crave chocolate - burgers, pizza, chips, yes. Chocolate, no. I'm obviously pregnant!!!!!

welcome Charingcrossbun! It's looking like Thursday is the day we are all testing! eek! it's so exciting! I for one will be logging in to share my news whether good or bad! AF still hasn't arrived, was only due today though, my breasts arent as sore and tender anymore. Nipples are still a little sensitive but nowhere near as bad as they were last week! if my husband opened the back door to let the dogs out and I happened to be in the sitting room....wowza! you'd think id been sitting in the freezer for how hard they went! and sore....bloody hell! so any of you got an explanation for the sore breasts easing? does it sound more like a premenstrual symptom? I can't remember how long my breasts were sore with my other 2 pregnancies :/ keeping my fingers crossed for all of us for Thursday!

Thursday is definitely a date! Sore breast when your husband opens the back door.....not sure I've an answer for that one! :)
Chocolate craving seems a sure fire preggers sign though!

I don't have an answer for it either, the slightest draft had me in agony! this was highly amusing for my husband, the dogs seemed to need to go pee alot during those days haha!!

Hey everyone. Currently 13 days overdue my period. Cant wait for test on friday. If its still a negative I might just go visit the doctor.
